We were passing through Woburn on Years days and popped in on the off chance for an impromptu lunch. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and our brunch was lovely. Simple but well done, nothing pretentious. Served on proper plates..no slate tiles or aluminium buckets! Will definitely return.

My husband and myself stayed for one night only to attend his company Christmas dinner, but we both really enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality of this traditional old coaching inn. The bedroom was very clean and well furnished, expected of a traditional true English inn and the breakfast and service in the morning was very good and welcoming. I was... More

I booked the double ensuite bedroom on the 2nd floor (room 6). It has been recently refurbished and is quite spacious with a comfortable bed. The bedroom was nice and warm when I arrived. The stairs up to this bedroom are quite steep so you need to take this into account if you book this room. The staff are friendly... More

I stayed last week with a friend who was visiting me, and our 2 toddlers Was overall an enjoyable stay, mainly because the staff were pleasant, as we both felt the room was overpriced. Our cot and Childs bed which were requested, were not ready on our arrival - which was a bit annoying as we didn't arrive til gone... More

I booked a night's stay to celebrate my partner's 50th B'day and was surprised to get a call from the hotel straight away asking if i would like to upgrade the room as it was for a special occasion, the lady was very polite and friendly and even said they would give a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. when... Stayed here on business and booked two double rooms. Ended up having the apartment (3 double rooms, kitchen and bathroom) which was a nice treat. Room was basic but clean, along with the rest if the apartment. Staff were friendly. Surrounding area is also nice.

Booked the family room prior to a visit to the safari park. Large room but directly on a main road with only single glazed windows. The children's beds are one step up from camp beds and placed on an uneven floor (its an old building I get that) quite uncomfortable. Room suffers condensation and although mostly warm, felt damp. Bathroom... More

This is a small, no frills hotel, as others have said, but it is very disappointing. Yes, it's in a period building, but character furniture and decor can't be the excuse: both are tired, shabby, and in need of some TLC. I stayed for 3 nights last week, and my room was made up each day, but never clean. (Skirting... More

Wonky floors, windy stair cases, tiny quirky rooms and a little bar, beer garden and parking. It's super cute and just what I would expect in this sleepy old village. Breakfast was nice and service friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again.
