Centrally based pub with parking. Very old and quirky pub with traditional pub parlour , and another room to have meals and your breakfast in. Excellent bar meal taken in the pub, steak was delicious and tender. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked fresh to order. It's an old pub so expect uneven floors if you are in the main part... More

They were really accommodating and very welcoming. They also went above and beyond when I was visiting I left my wallet at the bar. I wasn't local lived 80miles away, but they were so helpful through out. Cant praise them enough. Their food is brilliant, their service is impeccable. A great experience overall and lovely location

The room was accessed from the court yard beer garden and had one small window which to open you needed to stand on a chair, you had a choice of leaving is closed and trying to sleep in a hot room that smelt of both damp and bleach or having it open to the noise of the beer garden. In... More

Dear Emma, Thank you for your feedback. We take pride in our cleanliness and on this occasion we did not meet our usual high standards, and I apologise. I will review our housekeeping processes and make sure extra checks are put in place to avoid this happening again, and also ensure any feedback that is provided to our staff is... More

From the moment I telephoned to make a reservation through to checking out 24 hours later everything was perfect with standards far higher than some previous reviews led me to expect. The inn is spotlessly clean and in an excellent decorative state, whilst not detracting from the hundreds of years the building has been in use. Furnishings are comfortable and... More

The Longs, an old coaching inn from the 1600s, is undergoing constant refurbishment after previous owners neglect. Friendly staff, a proper old fashioned pub with real beer, there are still things to do. A room in the courtyard is away from the traffic but it's a tight squeeze to fit the cars in, (Horses were narrower)

This is obviously a former stage coach hotel with quirky stairways and passages to the upper rooms. We stayed in the stable room and were completely surprised that on opening the door there was a 4 poster bed. On the main street so lovely for a walk out. Impressed with our fresh cooked breakfast

First visit to this restaurant. Warm welcome as we arrived through the door, service was very good and very friendly. Dinner was nice, I had the steak and kidney pie which was great. Puddings were great, I had treacle sponge and custard. We will return soon. Many thanks.

Longs Inn Hotel is in a very pretty village and has bags of character. The reception staff and bar staff seem to enjoy making their guests welcome and are happy to assist however they can. The room had recently been redecorated in a smart contemporary style. It was a comfortable room with a modern ensuite shower/bathroom. There were also interesting... More

Was greeted by some very attentive and pleasant staff, we were early to check in so the girl who was cleaning offered to do out room as soon as she finished getting rooms ready for weddings. It was lovely to see her again at breakfast the next day. We also dined here in te evening and enjoyed the atmosphere; food... More

We arrived to a reasonably hostile reception and room that wasn't ready. After an hour and a half we walked up to 'Room 1'. Whilst it was clean, the bathroom was like something from the 1930's. After waiting about 10 minutes for the water to reach a temperature narrowly above freezing, I was able to take a shower. When I... More
