Just one night in this delightful house but welcomed as old friends arriving for the summer holidays – bags taken care of and tea with a slice of tasty home made cake to warm us through [the weather was very wet]. The room and en suite were very clean, spacious and comfortable– obviously cared for by a couple who take... More

My husband and I had a two night stay here as we were attending a friends Wedding nearby. Immaculate room in an amazing historic house set in beautiful gardens. Idyllic location. We had the double room without an en-suite but it didn't have a negative impact as we had exclusive use of the bathroom on the same floor for which... More

Lovely interesting building makes a pleasant country house style B&B. Dinah was a welcoming hostess who provided a recommendation for a dog friendly pub. Jasper the lab is a lovely friendly boy and an asset to the ambience of the house. Nice breakfast especially the fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt, though the cooked breakfast was also delicious. A pleasant stay.

Beautiful location if you enjoy walking (well behaved dogs are welcome too), relaxing or are visiting hereford and don't mind being a little out of the town centre. The vicarage is just a lovely building, (I am rather jealous of Dinah and Julian - and of course Jasper). Our room was a lovely size and we had a really good... More

This is a gem of a guesthouse. We were sorry not to have planned a dinner with the host, Julian, who was formerly a chief chef in London. But afternoon tea and homemade cake on our arrival was a welcome respite from travelling in the rain. As the rain abated, Dinah provided a hand-drawn map and recommended a short walk... More

This is my second visit to this B&B and my husbands's third stay. We stayed in The Barroque room which is large and beautifully decorated and furnished. We stayed 2 nights as we were going to Chepstow races for one of the days. Dinah and Julian are wonderful hosts and kindly looked after our dog (per-arranged) whilst we went out.... More

3rd time we have stayed at The Old Vicarege, as good as ever. A nice touch was that our German Shepherd was made a welcome guest also! We would recommend eating an evening meal, ours was delicious. Top place, a must visit!

Hi we booked for 4 days in October and were so impressed we managed to extend for an extra night , (I'd still be there if hadn't had to go back to work;-)) Lovely setting about 3.5 miles from Hereford, splendid building, gardens and warm welcoming rooms. Food is first class both in terms of quality and cooking. If you... More

My Husband and I opted for the Old Vicarage based on reviews listed here on Tripadvisor. Needless to say we were not disappointed. I will not ramble any more than I need to, but trust me, you will not be disappointed. The reviews listed before are very accurate indeed. We did have a bad experience once with a hotel booking... Earlier this month (September 2013) we had the pleasure of spending a week at this splendid guest house. It was new to us and you don't know entirely what you're in for even if you've studied the web site hard. Dinah and Julian Jeffery were wonderful hosts, full of local knowledge and suggestions for outings. The breakfasts were first class,... More
