This was my second time staying at Sandycove, I was working in the area and so booked two nights in this, one of Irelands hidden gems, Truly genuine and thoughtful people, Breda is just wonderful and is someone who is more like a friend rather than the perfect host. The room was great and the sea views just fantastic, the... More

We were looking for a place to stay in southwest Ireland and in the internet we found the Sandycove House with a nice picture with sea view. When we arrived, we were shocked to find out we got to one of the most beautiful places in the world with a indescribable amazing view! (continued our trip we realized that Sandycove... More

Stayed two nights with the O'Driscolls at Sandycove House. The view from our room was beyond spectacular, and their large breakfast/lounging area had the same magnificent view of the ocean and crashing waves. The property was not open for the season yet, but the O'Driscolls graciously let us stay and were so helpful, I'm not sure we would have ever... More

After spending most of the month of September traveling around Ireland, there were a few B&Bs that rose to the top. Sandycove was in the top few. Breda was phenomenal. The view and location truly could not be beat. The service and breakfast was outstanding. Beach is right across the street. We asked Breda to recommend a place for dinner,... More

This was my 2nd visit to Sandycove House with friends from Australia whose one request was to come to Castletownshend and stay in Sandycove House while in Ireland. We stayed for 2 nights and were not disappointed. Breda was delighted to see us and the welcome was amazing. My friend decided not to go out on 2nd day and to... More

Our stay at Sandycove House B&B was the highlight of our 14-day visit to Ireland. From the moment we sat on the patio overlooking the ocean, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and homecoming. Our hostess welcomed us into her home with stories, laughter and attention to our comfort and needs. Breakfasts started with a variety of cut... More

Location and hospitality could not be faulted . We stayed in the self catering house beside the B&B . Everything perfect for young kids with a beach 100yds away ! Location is central to Baltimore , clonakilty etc . iRISH Pub in Tragoma is good and food is typical bar standard . Worth a visit .

All the words that have previously described this B&B and landscape have been said. In my option this should be a 4*+ and not a 3*. Will definitely be back and can't wait. Thank you Breda for your warm welcome, hospitality and opening your home to us. The world needs more people like you in it.

On a recommendation by the publican at Mary Anne’s we ended up at Sandycove House B&B. During our three week stay – this was by far our favorite B&B experience. The views are stunning – the proprietors friendly – and all and all a wonderful place. HIGHLY recommend this slightly out of the way stop.

WOW... This is the 2nd best view in all of Ireland - Cliff of Moher being the first. :) Lovely spot on the coast and the beach & cliffs right outside your door. You could not ask for more! The gentlman was so nice and helpful and there is a terrific place to eat seafood just 5 minutes down the... More
