I stayed one night here with my friend. The scenery was breathtaking. The view from our room made me feel like I was outside. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was great. There was a very nice area for beach access. Totally recommend staying here!

My wife and I stayed here in mid-August 2013. Everything others have said about the views and location are absolutely true. "Breathtaking" is an often overused word, but it is absolutely appropriate here. The flora of the landscaping is striking--something one doesn't expect at Ireland's latitude. Two cautions I would issue: the first is that not all the rooms are... More

Come to Sandy Cove and be prepared to see the most beautiful scenery from a B&B you can possibly ask for. The views of the sea and surrounding countryside are breathtaking. We could not have asked for more hospitable hosts than Breda and John. The first night there, we asked for some ice, which Breda gladly provided to us. On... More

Sandy Cove House was our first stop after a long and disorienting drive from Shannon in the rain and on the wrong side of the road, but it was well worth it. What a perfect place, hosts, rooms, and weather. Add to the a secret little beach across the road and one could not ask for more. Even though tired,... More

This B and B was all you could hope for. Amazing cliff side location with stunning views of the Celtic sea, clean and cutely decorated bedrooms, a short drive to a sleepy Irish town, a beach and yummy breakfast. All for 35 euros a head is beyond amazing value. I very highly recommend this place. It was an all time... More

We stayed a few nights here. The B&B was absolutely gorgeous as was its location. The owners are amazing and make your stay wonderful! There's a nearby beach that feels private. It's a little off the beaten path as far as locations go, but that was no problem considering all the benefits of its seaside location. And, it wasn't too... More

Well we only stayed here because it was on our way to our next destination and we didn't get as far as we had hoped. Let me tell you the views are amazing and the little sandy cove is a nice little treat. The owners are very friendly, sweet, served a good breakfast and had no complaints. However the reasons... We were here in 2008. We took a three-day tour of Ireland and the first night we were just in Sandycove House. We were delighted with the view from the window of our room. The owners were kind and hospitable. I hope you will come again.

I recently stayed here for two nights. The weather varied between gorgeous and sunny and foggy and windy but who cares, it was a gorgeous location notwithstanding the weather's changing moods. Our room was small but serviceable with a good sized bathroom, very clean with comfortable and warm beds. The food was excellent and plentiful. They have a multi-windowed conservatory... More

My Mom and I had the pleasure of staying with John and Breda at the Sandy Cove House last month. The views from the B&B are absolutely stunning and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Just be aware that the B&B is quite a ways outside of both Skibbereen and Castletownshend, but we felt it was worth the... More
