My wife & I, plus our son and his wife, stayed here for two nights in two double rooms (1 bed was super-king-sized, which could be converted to twin beds, and the other a good-sized double). The rooms were quiet, immaculate, very comfortable, and with good facilities. The two front rooms overlook green fields and trees. Though the en-suites appeared... More

The Old Station House is a lovely B&B which is well situated for a visit to the Peak District. The owners provide a wonderful binder full of information about the house and local area. The house is very close to Chatsworth, so close you could walk there. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of the many walks that they... More

We had a lovely break at this comfortable B&B. Breakfasts were great and advice about the local area was greatly appreciated. Recommended as a great place to stay near Chatsworth. We had a very comfrotable room and the location was very central for trips to other interesting places in the Peak District

The Old Station House is perfectly located between Matlock and Bakewell with several wonderful walks from its doorstep. My brother and I stayed there for four nights in a very comfortable room with TV, CD Player and DVD Player. The beds were comfortable the en suite absolutely spotless with a shower that worked just as you wanted it to. My husband and I stayed 3 nights.spotlessly clean, very comfortable cosy rooms and short of nothing. Everything very well thought out . Lots of information about the area, walks, venues and eating places. There was a TV and DVD player(with DVDs for your use, and being able to use my new aquired tablet through the WiFi was a bonus. The... More

The old station house is located in Rowsley close to plenty of walks and a very short drive to Chattsworth house. There is car parking as well. The breakfast was cooked to order and served efficiently. The rooms are small but clean and value for money. There are no rooms on the ground floor so not suitable for people who... More

Prettily converted stationmaster's cottage. Bright little double room with good en suite bathroom and comfortable bed. Fantastic pack of local walks and tourist venues in the drawer of our table/desk.. TV and DVD player in room. Plenty of room for our luggage, with careful planning - suitcases fitted under the bed. Delicious breakfasts, eaten together with the other guests in... More

My other half and I have stayed here several times and I have also stayed alone. Immaculately clean, cosy rooms with all mod cons and facilities, great spacious showers and good quality bedding (please don't be discouraged by the towel issue below, two per person are provided and any further requests are happily granted). Breakfast to die for, all local... More

We stayed three nights in May. Very small room and no closet, so everything is quite cramped. One towel per person which I find makes it difficult to wash your hair. There is nearby parking for the site, which is very cramped too, but still functional. The breakfasts were good and the hostess was knowledgeable about the area. Sitting area... More

I am sorry these guests did not think the room spacious enough, but they did arrive with three outsize suitcases as well as several large "carry-on" bags. Their room has an open wardrobe with inbuilt shelves and drawers, but it is true there is nowhere to spread out large maps, apart from on the 6' 6" beds. Our guest lounge/dining... More

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The room was fine with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious, with lovely touches like homemade bread and jams. Vickie and her Mum were great hosts and made for a very relaxing stay. Would not hesitate in recommending The Old Station House.
