A wonderful, warm, welcoming place to stay in rural England. The room was cozy, spotless and we really felt comfortable. The hosts were warm and friendly, the breakfast was delicious. We would highly recommend this B & B. Rick and Lesley, Nanaimo, BC, Canada

We stayed in April 2014 for 2 nights. The Old Station House was a fantastic little B&B that was extremely comfortable and well looked after. Our room was a little on the small side, however with clever use of space, this room had everything we could possibly need. The owners were friendly and very accommodating, serving a full cooked breakfast... More

Recently stayed with friends at Old Station House. Room, breakfast and price all good. Our overall experience was spoilt however by the unwelcoming attitude of the host. Felt very much like an inconvenience not guests, will not be returning or recommending.

I am extremely sorry that the lady who posted this review felt this way. I was quite upset when I read it as I have been running my B&B for seven years and strive to make all our guests feel very welcome in my home, as many of the reviews below explicitly stress. I would be in the wrong business... More

We really enjoyed our stay. The B&B is clean and comfortable, the owner was welcoming, breakfasts really were fantastic, and Rowsley is a good place to stay as base for exploring the Peak District. We would love to stay again.

A warm friendly welcome and a wonderful atmosphere from start to finish. Breakfast deserved an excellent rating, with a choice of full English with eggs cooked how you like them or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Cereals and toast also available. The room was clean, tidy and welcoming. Lots of useful information on places to visit and walks was available and... More

We had 3 nights here and found the location excellent. A good pub within walking distance for meals and a delightful village to explore. The room was small but comfortable with a good en-suite - something that can be hard to find in old converted buildings in the UK. We were able to explore the Peak District by car and... More

We stayed here for NYE 2013 for 3 nights as we wanted a quiet but good time - and that was what we got! The property is small but has everything you could need. Our room as clean and comfortable. Waking up in the Derbyshire countryside on New Year's Day was very special, especially with a fantastically yummy breakfast including... More

Stayed here with a girlfriend for 3 nights recently. The room was en-suite, clean and comfortable, although a little on the small side. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. Loved the large dining table that was shared with other guests, great meeting people from other parts of the UK and sharing our daily activities.

My wife & I, plus our son and his wife, stayed here for two nights in two double rooms (1 bed was super-king-sized, which could be converted to twin beds, and the other a good-sized double). The rooms were quiet, immaculate, very comfortable, and with good facilities. The two front rooms overlook green fields and trees. Though the en-suites appeared... More

The Old Station House is a lovely B&B which is well situated for a visit to the Peak District. The owners provide a wonderful binder full of information about the house and local area. The house is very close to Chatsworth, so close you could walk there. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of the many walks that they... More
