Lake Crackenback is a vast resort with an Australian bush setting - Kosciusko National Park surrounds it. I've been here in all seasons, though my favourite is summer, mainly because I'm not a big fan of winter. It is situated about halfway between Thredbo and Jindabyne. Recently had a 3 night stay at Lake Crackenback and stayed in a 3 bedroom chalet with family. The chalet was lovely, spacious rooms, large living area, 3 king size bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms, separate laundry and drying room, not to mention superb views. Our apartment was perfect - gorgeous views, more than enough room, great kitchen and deck, super-clean and warm. The whole resort was beautifully maintained with plenty of activities included complimentary. We visited Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa and it’s stunning surrounds for a day full of fun and relaxation. We were not disappointed. Stayed in one of the houses [stunning] behind the resort. A perfect family place...we were there for 3 days just after Easter..had 20cm of snow the first night so hotfooted up to Thredbo ...an easy 15 min drive. Staff were exceptionally friendly and relaxed. A great place to get out of doors and go mountain biking, paddling, gold or just enjoy the view. The kids loved it.
