Every year we ski in Thredbo and satay there however this year we ended up staying here. The property sits up high in the mountain with lovely views. Breakfast was included and was terrific. Cooked hot fresh for you daily with eggs and bacon plus juices and cereals and toasts. Just what you need for a big day ahead. We... More

As always, before booking any accommodation I read what other people had to say about Altitude 1260. I can only agree with the positive! To the people who commented 'it was hard to find', I can only imagine you were driving with your eyes closed because we arrived at 2am in the morning and had no difficulty in finding the... More

This was our second time staying at Altitude and it did not fail to impress again. From the moment you drive up the driveway and realise you are away from all the hustle and bustle of the local town, you really feel a sense of privilege to be staying at such a secluded private location but still within a short... As a longtime snowboarder, I stay at many different ski resorts and lodges around the world, my favourite would have to be altitude 1260, which I visit regularly. I just read one of the reviews that had been put up a few days ago and was gob smacked with what they had written about the place as I have never... More

We found Altitude 1260 a comfortable lodge with a warm ambience. Perfectly adequate room for our weeks stay with ample wardrobe space. Large lounge area with roaring log fire and a burning bertha. We found the manager welcoming and friendly, always making an effort to be social and have some fun! The cooked brekkis every morning were great and the... More

My husband and I recently had our wedding ceremony at Altitude 1260. Michelle was so helpful with everything and very easy going. Our room was spacious and clean. The view is amazing! We can't wait to stay here again! Thank you!

Noisy night revellers from overseas, nocturnal showers and poor plumbing may disrupt your night's rest too, but it does make you to get up early to enjoy the stunning sunrise - to be followed by a 'hot cooked breakfast' of the manager's strict schedule. If it is fried eggs day, don't bother asking for them scrambled before check out, because... More

At Altitude 1260 we strive to provide a relaxed environment for families and friends to come together and enjoy their time in the snowy mountains, a place where the rigors of modern life are forgotten. It is unfortunate that you were unable to appreciate a slower pace and the opportunity to redirect time away from technology. Being from Noosa I... More

Altitude 1260 is about 15 km from Jindabyne towards Thredbo. It is convenient to both for skiing or bush walking (as we did) but perched above the valley and away from the rush and noise. We had two days and nights of pure relaxation and retreat from busy schedules. The fire was great and the lounge area warm and inviting,... More

This mountain top lodge has one of the best views you can find and is about half hour from thredbo. The lodge itself has a nice lobby with fireplace overlooking the valley, pool table and small bar but the rooms are pretty bad........ Make sure you are not reliant on technology like me as there is no tv. There is... More

Thanks Jessica for taking the time to offer feedback on your stay. I'm pleased you enjoyed our facilities with our large open lounge room and open fire, the bar, pool table and TV room. It is quite clear on our website that there are no TV's or fridges in the rooms and our rooms are very comfortable, all with amazing... More

We arrived to climb Mount Kosciuszco this week and stayed at Altitude 1260. I didn't read the trip advisor before I went as it was a surprise for my birthday, and I probably wouldn't have wanted to stay there reading the reviews now, I'm surprised by the amount of negative comments on here. Okay, so if you're 21 and looking... More
