We stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. Immediately loved the location as you don't feel imposed on by other guests and loved the setup in the cabin. It was great to have a king size bed as well as a good sized couch. We used the Webber BBQ and found the kitchen great for a quickly put... More

We stayed at Alpine Habitats for two nights in March. This was really quite a good find and very different to the congested accommodation typical of the area. The location is a good compromise, about 10 minutes from Jindabyne and 20 minutes from Thredbo. Our cabin (#14) was very modern, well proportioned and well appointed. Heated floors and an ethanol... We booked and paid for a one bedroom unit, but were given a two bedroom unit on arrival. The location was lovely, about 10 km from Jindabyne along the road to Thredbo. The units were attractively and modernly furnished and very comfortable. There were king size beds in both bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a drying cabinet... More

My friends and I stayed at Alpine Habitats in August for some skiing. Its our first time skiing in Sydney and i think we got lucky to have accommodation at the right place. We wanted to go to both thredbo and perisher and we found our cosy two bedroom apartment at Alpine Habitats! Our journey started from Sydney to Crackenback,... More

Alpine Habitats: A cabin stay along Alpine Way is possibly about as appealing as it gets doesn't it? It is out the way of the snowsport bustle of Jindabyne, but close enough to restaurants and shops. It is a 5 minute drive to the SkiTube and a 20 minute drive to Thredbo, but avoids those pricey ski resort accommodations. Kangaroos... More

I live here and still engoy the kangaroos every day too. Our interior design is deliberately minimalist and was aimed to target the market who are over the smokey timber cabin style accommodation that abounds in the Snowy Mountains. Maybe a little too spartan for some people but we are aiming at a few improvements with new rugs and floor... More

We stayed at the Alpine Habitats for 3 nights. We were very pleased with the space, comfort and cleanliness. They are in a convenient, central location for going to Thredbo, Jindabyne or Charlotte's Pass. The only down-side we experience was a lack of cooking equipment. We cooked all 3 nights, and there were a few needed items missing. It would... More

We have stayed here twice for two different weddings and love the place. First wedding was held in the central grounds in November 2010 where all the apartments were booked out. We had a great time. We stayed in unit 4 that was a double and twin with bathroom, living and kitchen. The suspended concrete flooring kept it cool with... More

Just confirming that all units definitely have thir own continuous hot water systems. Tip for guests (included in our handy hints sheet) - use the hot water tap only and set the shower water temperature with the control pad in the bathroom. As we run on tank water with pumps, our lower water pressure and flow rates mean that the... More

Stayed here for three nights in September as they had a discounted rate $300 per night and it was some of the newest accommodation in Jindy. Our habitat was good, but felt quite bare in terms of little furniture and very open. It was clean, but could do with a decent scrub from top to bottom! The Ethanol heater is... More

What a pleasant find! The two bedroom cottage with full kitchen, lounge and dining was so lovely to return to after a day on the slopes! Oven, full size fridge, heated concrete floors, drying racks for the wet gloves and skis, plasma, dvd, heated towel racks, a lovely deck over looking a natural bush setting, the kangaroos, the fire place....
