Stopped for lunch on our way towards Anglesey. Welcomed by the staff and we both had surprisingly good fish and chips, given that it was quite late for lunch and just after a very busy mothers day weekend.

I was travelling to North Wales with my wife and son, and we were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch when we found this pub. There was a reasonable choice from the menu, and a good choice of beers. The food was served fairly quickly, and was well prepared. As is was a January Monday afternoon the place was... More

Decided to pop here as it is local to us for an evening bar meal. Hubby had steak pie which was fine and I ordered a chicken burger as I only fancied something a bit smaller. The meal was well presented etc and chips were nice but the burger itself wasn't very appetising, just like a piece of soggy sponge... More

We stayed at Elan Cottage across the road from 24/12/14 to 31/12/14 and we went into this hospitable hotel on a daily basis. The staff were always polite and helpful and the free WIFI came n handy as the mobile phone networks do not operate in this area. We had several Lunch meals which were always really good value and... The place has had a makeover and is comfortable, clean and hospitable. The staff are great and friendly and the food is very good too. We go back there on a regular basis. On a Saturday night you sometimes get a male voice choir singing acapella in the bar and its worth a visit for that as they are very... More

This is a traditional two hundred year old pub in a nice village with the advantage of an even older pub opposite (so there's always something to do in an evening). The rooms were a bit tired but nice and clean. No reception on the TV though. The breakfast was very good and the price was excellent. I'd be happy... More

We saw one price online and called to reserve. When we arrived, they told us a different price. We refused to pay the increase and were denied breakfast as a result. The accommodation was okay at best. We were in a room where there was a window in the shower looking over a fire escape - that was frequently used... More
