A good start, pub/hotel is in a lovely little village but be warned that there is nothing else in the village except one other pub directly opposite which serves almost the exact same food minus a few options and plus others. The room was nice, we booked the double ensuite which was spotlessly clean, had a double and a single... More

Excellent inn in the centre of the village with adequate accommodation and very good food. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a great breakfast which set us up for a good days walk. The drive from the village to Llangollen is spectacular particular at this time of year with the gorse and heather in full flower

We'd passed this pub many times and it's always busy so decided to have a meal on Saturday. Well there's no waitress service, we had to ask for menu and it took ages to find one, ordered the food at the bar and waited, and waited for 55 minutes before it arrived. We'd ordered a mixed grill and a medium... More

Booked two nights here after seeing good reviews and wanting something decent within reasonable distance of Oswestry. Pub is lovely, very old, traditionally decorated and one of two pubs in small village, so is very much a local pub as well as doing B & B. It is set in the most stunning scenery. The staff were great, helpful etc.... More

We had a lovely over night stay at this lovely little pub/b&b - the staff were extremely friendly and the food was very good (I would definitely recommend the lamb curry!). The Rooms are large and clean and the cooked welsh breakfast the following morning was just what we needed :) Thank you very much!

We were in town during a Welsh festival so I will start by saying we were probably lucky to get the rooms. Much of the nearby lodging was booked up months in advance. The price (40P/night) was pretty reasonable since the room was spacious, had good views and the staff makes a good breakfast. The big problem was the WiFi.... More

Stayed here with friends whilst at Revolution bikepark. Welcome could not have been better rooms were good and breakfast was great as well. A more welcoming and gracious host would be hard to find elsewhere . A safe place to store bikes and gear given upon arrival. Food was good in the evenings and reasonably priced. A perfect location for... More

Okay the New Inn is old, a little tired and could use some tlc, but the welcome was warm and friendly, the management are incredibly helpful and accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfy and very good value for money. The food is also great value for money. Huge, tasty and inexpensive. If I ever had reason to visit... More

The New Inn is a pub with rooms in the tiny village of Llangynog. There's a 2nd pub (owned by the same people as the New Inn) and that's all.You need to go into Bala (13 miles) or the next small village if you want to buy anything and you pass no other eating options on the way to these... More
