We had an evening meal in the Hadrian Hotel, and be warned the portions are large. The food was hot, delivered without delay and hearty. We just about managed to follow up with some local ice cream and one scoop was sufficient. My wife enjoyed her fish pie served with vegetables and I had an unusual burger with haggis in... More

Stopped for lunch during a walk in the locality on a glorious Easter Monday. Busy, but service was excellent, fast and very friendly. Lots of food choices on the board. Watch out for the helpings - they're HUGE 😀 and, in our case, precluded even thinking about pudding.

Walking the Wall path. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, food was good and plentiful. Folk were welcoming. Probably one of the better stops at this end of the wall. I'd definitely return if I need a bed in the area again.

Firstly I would like to say that I have never given a bad review ever. We arranged to meet our family for lunch as it was somewhere we used to go to quite often a few years ago and always had good food. There was 7 of us, when the food did arrive it was terrible, I didn't ever think... More

My parents have stayed here and eaten here a few times and spoke with the owner about whether they were dog friendly, to be told they were As Sunday was to be a special celebration meal we decided to head to the Hadrian Hotel. We knew that the top bar was the only dog area, which was fine so we... More

Stayed here whilst on a canoeing course based in Hexham so it was nice and handy. Rooms were fine, food was good, breakfast was excellent, good beer, friendly staff, nice country pub atmosphere. I'd stay again.

Four of is had meals and a drink here. My friend had to send his beer back twice as tasted bad he could taste the cleaner from the pipes as not been flushed properly. To be fair the staff did change his beer twice. The meals were not very hot but luke warm and to expensive for what you got.... More

A couple of days New Year's break in Northumberland with a friend. We decided to slum it one night and celebrate on the second one. This was the 'slum' night. Must admit it appealed to me that I was staying in 'Wall'. (Stardust fans will recognise the name). We booked for one night on a deal website, rather than paying... More

Have had lunch here before and it has been ok but went there on Saturday and all of our meals were very poor. A definite case of quantity over quality. Not well cooked and unattractive. The place could really do with a good clean and looks as though it hasn't been refurbished for donkeys years judging by the curtains and... More

We visited (Grand Parent, 2 Parents and 2 Young Kids) on a Sunday afternoon at short notice and got a table in the warm bar area which was full. The decor could do with a little refresh but we weren't there to look at the walls. The staff are helpful and attentive if a little in-experienced but they were great... More
