5 couples stayed here for a weekend and it was lovely, the food, the service and the rooms were all great, lovely countryside, would definitely return. We were given a warm welcome and the staff went out of their way to do anything to help us, even when we wanted something that was not on the menu. I would highly... More

We dine at The King's Head often and it never ever fails to deliver. The place is always buzzing in an understated relaxed sort of way, it is beautifully decorated and the food is first class, great quality, good sized portions. The staff are lovely. As a local hotel ourselves, it is on our list of top eating out recommendations... More

Just had one night here for a relaxing break. Pub is in a lovely village, perfect for a quiet getaway. We had room 5 which was comfy and spacious with a large bathroom. The pub has been brilliantly renovated both in the bar and rooms. The meal at night was excellent especially the cheese soufflé and delicious chunky chips. Breakfast... More

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cuisine on both nights was superb and the modern bedrooms as clean as previously. This time we stayed as a family and all of us felt that the staff were very attentive to everyone's needs. Awaiting fourth visit!

Decided to go out for a mid week meal and landed just before food service closed but they were still happy to serve us. The staff were very pleasant but not over bearing, nice atmosphere in the place and the food was very good, had duck rolls, pork belly and an excellent sticky toffee pudding. Oh and the lager was... Our friends treated us to a nights stay at this really lovely place. Great location, very attentive staff, great breakfast, great range of beverages ................ what more can I say. The rooms were decorated in a tasteful manner albeit a little cold at times. We went out for dinner to Kirby Steven so cant comment on the dinner menu but... More

We stayed here with 2 other couples as a surprise for one of them. We couldn't fault the hotel at all. The rooms are all beautiful - we stayed in room 5 which overlooked the Beck at the front of the hotel. Whilst the pub was open there was some noise from downstairs but very quiet once closed. The beds... More

We had waited and waited for this hotel to re open and this year it was open. When we went inside it was beautiful and had been refurbished to a very high standard, then joy of joy the had calves liver on the menu! I love it but rarely find a chef who knows how to cook it! When it... More

We stayed here last year and were totally captivated by the hotel and its surroundings. Our bedroom (as are all the bedrooms) was contemporary, spotlessly clean and the bathroom fabulous. We ate in the restaurant which is open to the public too, and had a beautiful meal and wine. The atmosphere was lively without being intrusive and the service marvellous.... More

Staying in Angel Barn so the King's head is only a short drive away. Staff very accommodating sorting us a table as they were fully booked due to it being Valentine's weekend. Great food, local produce and excellent service! Great place especially for a Sunday lunch or a romantic dinner. Highly recommended. Thank you we will return x
