Visited sinchicuy lodge for 3 nights with a mate and surprisingly we made up 2/3 of guests at the lodge - there was only 3 guests in the ENTIRE LODGE. This made the place feel deserted. Apart from this, it was everything you would expect from an eco lodge; limited amenities, cold showers, little to no electricity etc. Food Was... More

Staffs are very helpful, our private guide Jorge is amazing...keep us busy all the time....unforgettable experience was when our boat was surrounded by pink and grey dolphins in all sides of our boat in The Amazon River on our way to Yanayacu with our guide and staffs of Sinchicuy Lodge.

Have been there twice and planning another trip in December 2015. Our family, especially our children enjoy the magic of the ecotourism. Every time we go to PERU they request this trip to Iquitos. It is magical encounter of human and nature.

We travelled here in July 2015, grandparents, parents (me + husband) and three kids (ages 6, 4 and 2). It was definately an experience never to forget, but more in the negative way somehow. I am surprised we suffered this much from our stay here, because I consider ourselves to be brave travelers, not needing heaps of luxury to be... More

We recently spent 3 days and 2 nights at this Great Rustic Eco Lodge in the Amazon. It is very rustic with little or no amenities but an excellent adventure and a way to unwind and unplug. Shower has only cold water from the river but very refreshing after the day's activities and removal of Bug Repellant. We suggest bringing... More

This is a very basic lodge in a very nice place. I will start by listing out the good things about the lodge. The food was really really good and so was the maracuya and pisco sour. The people running the lodge are very nice people and are very understanding. You will have electricity for for a while so that... More

Remember that this is an eco lodge when you book it. Not air conditioning, basic generator electricity kept to a minimum, gas lamps in the rooms, no heated water for showering. Bring lots of insect repellent. The food is collected locally so expect repetition with what's on season. Lovely little lodge in the middle of no where. In rainy season... More

I put a review of this in the wrong place. I will redo it here. This is a nice rustic jungle lodge. They generate electricity for about two hours each night around dinner time. Otherwise there is no light. The lodge is mostly screened in, and has water for showers, but it is cold and out of the river. The... More

This was a lot of fun! No electricity, no hot water, but flush toilets and a nice shower. The rooms were quite basic, yet adequate. It was like camping but on a higher and more comfortable level, with comfy beds and a fully functioning bathroom. Showering in the Amazon river water was a surprise - very soft water and the... I went on a 3 night adventure and stayed at the Sinchicuy Lodge. My guide, Sondra, was exceptional. He was personable and spoke pretty good English. He actually grew up in a village on the Amazon river and it was obvious that he loved what he is doing. The lodge is really rustic....kind of like a "base camp" or rustic... More
