Called in here looking for somewhere to eat with my husband, teenage son and dog, and were very impressed. The menu looked promising, although a bit pricey, but the food came quickly and the service was friendly and efficient. Good attention to detail on presentation, and lovely flavours throughout, with the dessert being particularly imaginative and delicious. Very happy to... More

We just spent a weekend at The Plough, could not fault it at all. We stayed in The Torsin, I love this room, the bed is so comfortable, the room is huge and I didn't want to leave the shower! The staff are so friendly. They have just had a change in management and we were a little apprehensive as... More

Visited the plough about three or four times in the last year, the food has been consistently good, however the service is hit and miss, I have stopped going due to this, the staff make you feel like you are putting them out, we has a polish lady waitress who was pleasant but spoke poor English and didn't have a... Recently stayed at this hotel for one night,it was booked as a surprise for my birthday. On arrival staff were friendly and approachable, nothing too much trouble. Stayed in redman, which was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, with superb bathroom. Ate in dining room, food cooked to perfection, and served piping hot. A lovely overnight stay ,would certainly recommend .

We stayed for one night. Our suite and meals were first class. I'd recommend this place to anyone. (There's some traffic noise at night, but it's OK.) The restaurant and bar are obviously popular. However, the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

We had pre booked a group of 12 for a 50th birthday. Pre ordered from a good variety menu before hand. On arrival met by friendly staff who showed us to the dinning area and took a drinks order. The food came it was all correct and hot which was great as sometimes at not so good places they either... More

Nicely decorated with good menu choice. The food was very disappointing and did not warrant the price tag. Fish and chips was bland and needed seasoning. Sccampi and chips was fine but nothing to write home about. Presentation was over the top with silly buckets and deep frying baskets. Such a shame as this place could be great but unfortunately... We were celebrating our friends 30th wedding anniversary with an evening meal & overnight stay at this great hotel. I lived the cosy and yet smart feel o the place and felt that had got it pretty much all right. The staff were great and the food though by no means fancy was beautifully cooked and well presented. Without doubt... More
