Recently stayed at this hotel for one night,it was booked as a surprise for my birthday. On arrival staff were friendly and approachable, nothing too much trouble. Stayed in redman, which was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, with superb bathroom. Ate in dining room, food cooked to perfection, and served piping hot. A lovely overnight stay ,would certainly recommend .

We stayed for one night. Our suite and meals were first class. I'd recommend this place to anyone. (There's some traffic noise at night, but it's OK.) The restaurant and bar are obviously popular. However, the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

We had pre booked a group of 12 for a 50th birthday. Pre ordered from a good variety menu before hand. On arrival met by friendly staff who showed us to the dinning area and took a drinks order. The food came it was all correct and hot which was great as sometimes at not so good places they either... More

Nicely decorated with good menu choice. The food was very disappointing and did not warrant the price tag. Fish and chips was bland and needed seasoning. Sccampi and chips was fine but nothing to write home about. Presentation was over the top with silly buckets and deep frying baskets. Such a shame as this place could be great but unfortunately... We came here for a girly lunch on Sunday, beautiful surroundings. It wasn’t busy when we came yet I found the service really per especially the young girl behind the bar I literally felt like I was an inconvenience, she didn’t smile once waited at the bar for a drink she was messing around with the till and some minutes... We were celebrating our friends 30th wedding anniversary with an evening meal & overnight stay at this great hotel. I lived the cosy and yet smart feel o the place and felt that had got it pretty much all right. The staff were great and the food though by no means fancy was beautifully cooked and well presented. Without doubt... More

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Plough, stayed with two friends in the Harrington and Redman rooms. Both were first class, v, smart and quality fittings . The turndown service in the evening seamed O.T T for the Inn type accomodation, but that is a personal opinion, not a complaint. We ate in the dining room, it was steak... More

this small roadside but quite pub/hotel has great rooms. My wife and I stayed in the Redroom bedroom and it was spacious and the bathroom was great. Large number of towels and the shower was the best of the holiday.

We picked The Plough for its location and AA endorsement of the food. Our room was very pleasant and bathroom vast, though let down somewhat by the limited (though posh Bath House ones) toiletries in 'catering' sizes attached to the wall in decidedly knackered holder. Little details like this matter a lot when you're paying over £150 a night. We... More

We loved The Plough having just spent 5 days there and would unreservedly recommend it to anybody visiting nearby. The staff were friendly and very efficient the food was excellent with a very good menu and good wine list to accompany and the bed-rooms were sumptuous. Well done everybody and thank you for looking after us (and the dog). We... More
