Enjoyed a two night break at this hotel. Rather noisy rooms (creaky floorboards above and noise fromTVs and talking from rooms next door. But friendly staff and excellent food. Convenient location, easy to get to Hereford and Ross

We did not stay at this hotel, but ended having lunch on Mother's Day. The restaurant seating options are rather odd in as much as there appears to be the restaurant 'proper', then a kind of side room off the bar area, where one can also eat, and where we sat, and in then, addition a sort of conservatory to... We decided to do something different this year and chose to come along to one of your murder mystery nights. All of our party had a great time especially as we won the event, the food was simple but delicious, alcohol was good and the bar man/manager (I've forgotten his name) was a credit to the hotel, he was so... Hi Vicky01rogers, many thanks for taking the time to review your experience here at the Pilgrim last Saturday. Trevor [Bar & Restaurant Manager] is indeed a tireless worker and is a great asset to the business. I am sure he will be heartened and not a little embarrassed by your comments but the rest of us think like you, that... More

We stopped here after a long wall for tea/coffee and cake; we were spending a weekend with friends at Bryngarth. Breathtaking scenery on the deck in spring sunshine; warm scone and warmly welcoming cheerful staff; excellent service. Ace!

Hi Neonlites and thank you for your glowing review. The staff are very happy that you enjoyed your visit and whilst we can take no plaudits for the view, we are glad that you enjoyed the afternoon on the decking. More and more people are stopping off to refuel after tackling some of the great walks around us and we... More

My daughter booked this break as a present for us and we went at the end of January. The hotel is very easy to find and set in lovely countryside. Our room was very large and had everything that you needed. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good and well presented. The staff... More

Birthday treat of afternoon tea- a lovely choice of sandwiches delicious bread and fillings. The scones were fantastic really fresh, a generous selection of cakes and copious amount of tea and coffee. All in all a very successful choice of venue. The venue is welcoming with an open roaring fire and the staff were very good.

The break was a treat that we had won and when we looked this hotel up on the Internet, it looked fabulous, so we booked it. The rooms were the most basic we had ever seen- no shower just a plug in hose which produced a dribble of water! My husband had to wash my hair for me with me... More
