It's so hard to tell from pictures whether the rooms are nice...in Saturna Lodge's case the pictures of the hotel and it's rooms do not do it justice! So charming, clean, classy...it was enchanting! LOVED it! Loved the restaurant, breakfast was excellent and only out did by all the staff! I highly recommend staying here! And our pooch was welcome... More

We stayed at this lodge with friends while we bicycled around the canadian gulf islands. The lodge and rooms were beautiful but the meals were exceptional. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We will be back!

Our first visit to Saturna Island the weekend of July 18th 2014. What a delightful place! The Lodge is quiet and peaceful with lovely gardens and hot tub nestled in the trees. Our room was spacious and comfortable with many extras including fresh flowers. The food delicious. Laura made us welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we... More

We cycled over from the Victoria area and were again wowed. Such luxury tucked away on a Gulf Island! A gourmet meal is available four nights a week, to be enjoyed on the deck overlooking the cover or indoors. Twins Dagan and Tyson run the food service. While Tyson is out back, Dagan in vest and floor length black apron... More

I have loved Saturna for a quarter of a century and the new version of the Lodge is certainly a more than welcome improvement on perfection. Stayed for a 4 night escape and enjoyed every second. The owners and staff are both friendly and professional and go out of their way to pamper you. The rooms are tastefully decorated and... More

I love to write a big detailed review, especially where, for the price paid, I have been blown away by either the service, the accommodation, the meal or whatever. But Peter M (Nov 2013) has taken the time to write what EVERY potential visitor to Saturna should know...this place is stunning and Laura is just a lovely person...as ell as... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend at the Saturna Lodge, a little ahead of the season but the grounds were already in bloom. My room was very pretty, clean and restful. Breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed my chats with the owner and the chef.

Saturna is one of those trips where I've been looking at it across the water, but because it's so close, I kept putting off a visit. Finally, on a spur of a moment, I planned a quick trip during days off, and as is typical for me, trusted to providence in finding a place. Laura answered my call on the... More

We stayed one night at the Saturna Lodge and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything about it was wonderful. We stayed in the Zinfandel suite and had the run of the house because we were the only guests in mid-September. We were treated like royalty although I'll bet Laura treats everyone that way even when she has a full... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill House Restaurant at the Saturna LodgeYou asked us to do it, so we did it! Ron and Laura are pleased to announce the opening of The Mill House Restaurant at The Saturna Lodge. The Mill House will be open for breakfast, seven days a week, and dinner Thursday - Monday. We are pleased to introduce brothers Chef Tyson and Dagan Van Cadsand to the Saturna Lodge family. In addition to assisting Chef Tyson, Dagan will double as server/bartender. Utilizing the many local products, we will be serving gourmet breakfasts and in the evenings appetizers, entrees, plus yummy desserts that will keep you returning. Several Saturnans are already hooked on our fresh baked cinnamon rolls and breads. After serving Campbell Farm lamb and wild salmon at our first dinner party, they received rave reviews.Entrance for The Mill House is now via the new wheelchair accessible deck entrance, with a new look and feel that also continues to showcase and maintain the lodge’s charm. For those who don’t know, we had a water leak that resulted in a full renovation of the restaurant area with new flooring, lighting and the bar has been extended and boasts the most outstanding local maple bar top. Thank you to so many locals who provided history, supplies, and services that allowed us to update yet preserve the history of the Lodge. Our opening is Thursday, May 1, 2014, with our ‘Last Stand’ Acoustic Open Mic events returning the first Thursday of each month. We truly hope you will stop in and we will be welcoming your feedback. We believe it is all about the experience and we want yours to be a memorable one. Reservations are not required but are highly recommended. Already, we are fully booked some nights.Pristine Saturna is the least-developed of the main southern Gulf Islands. Almost half the island is protected as part of Gulf Islands National Park.
