This boutique heritage hotel is fabulous. The staff are incredibly friendly and the quality of hospitality outstanding. The owner opened the cafe for us during off hours to provide complimentary coffee, allowed for a very late check out and even carried our bags to the car! The hot breakfast that is included with the reservation is top notch and the... More

We had made plans with our friends to visit Powell River and then Lund the next day. After some research we decided to stay at The Old Courthouse Inn in the old town of Powell River on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.Upon... We booked this hotel because it sounded unique, we weren't disappointed. We traveled to Powell River with our car club, the others stayed at a different hotel. When we showed them pictures of our room, they wanted to see how fabulous this place was. Yvonne, the Inn keeper, invited everyone in for a tour... the whole club will be booking... More

The Old Courthouse Inn has all you need to feel at home with a touch of class. The hosts and staff are very friendly and professional and the food is excellent! The hotel is located close to Powell Lake and Inland Lake. Gerry (North Bay, Ontario).

We visited on May 25/ 2014. for one night. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommended this inn to everyone. I love the rooms, very clean and found it to be really quiet .Wonderful breakfast in the morning, included with your stay. The mill across the street didn't bother me a bit.But hey, this is B.C.,the mills are just... More

I cannot believe this website's endorsement of the hotel. This hotel is a few feet away from a large wood mill with the requisite smells. The rooms were small and oppressive and the "innkeeper" had to be awoken at 5 pm to register us. The view was supposed to be breathtaking. You could just about make out the sea from... More

What a fabulous stay - almost like staying in a friend's house with antiques and collectables in the rooms and corridors. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent quality and filling (and many choices were included in the room rate). The hotcakes have to be sampled - thanks Kelly! We didn't manage to sample the dinner... More

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in "The Jury Rooms". It was part of the charm that the rooms weren't numbered but named after rooms one might find in a court house. The decor in the passages helped one to escape from city life, to slow down and relax, thinking of the olden days! Location near a variety... More

Thank you and your staff for such a warm welcome. Truly felt at home. Such a quaint get away down memory lane. I felt so at home. Breakfast was great, can't wait to try out the dinner menu this summer.

The Old Courthouse Hotel is a funky, charming hotel that is very much like a Bed and Breakfast in the town of Powell River. Art and antiques abound inside the old courthouse making every corner interesting to visit. The included breakfast at Edy's downstairs was fresh and tasty ...served by a sweet girl with a charming French accent. If you... More
