We had a great stay here - the owner was incredibly warm and friendly and really went the extra mile to ensure that we were taken care of. Meals in the pub were hot and delicious, and the staff connected us with local residents that let us come out on their boat and have an incredible time. We had so... More

Honestly, the place is far from great. But the manager Ron (who is new management, and new to the hotel game) makes up for any shortcomings plus some. He entertained us until 5am and then woke up at 7am to start cooking an epic breakfast. If you're a vapid, neurotic potato of a human who has to define your experience... More

Ron, Ruth, and Jessica took care of our group over the 4 days that we stayed in Bamfield. I've personally been a part of the hospitality industry my entire life. I take pride in giving, and enjoy receiving, genuine hospitality and kindness. Staying at the Bamfield Trails Hotel was one of the best experiences of my life. Our group was... More

A large group stayed here for New Years Eve. We were a decently large group of around 15 people and the service that we received was top-notch. The owner, Ron, went the extra mile to ensure that our party had a great time. I thoroughly recommend Bamfield Trails of you're looking for a clean and cost-effective hotel with absolutely great... The room was okay, not well maintained but clean. The beds were okay. The room was outdated. The outside of the hotel needs a lot of love. It seemed the staff were never around and the pub was never open. Expensive for what you receive.

We got in and never saw the proprietor again. Didn't replenish supplies in the three days we were there and even had to supply our own toilet paper. Roomy with a good deck, and a good kitchenette. They said they'd charge $25 if we didn't clean up our dishes, but left no dish clothes, tea towels or drain racks so... More

We stayed here for one night because our boat broke down. The room rate was very high for the quality of the hotel. Our room was clean but needed a lot of maintenance. The fire detector in our room did not work and the door lock was hanging on with one very loose nail. The balcony rail was made out... More

Very conveniently located, just beside West Coast Trail bus stop, in East Bamfield. (if you stay in West Bamfield, you need to take a water taxi which is not convenient but is unique) Our family of 4 had just hiked the WCT and needed a place to stay. The basic room had one double bed and one single bed. Linda... More

Sorry, this is a long time in coming. As a group of 4, we had just hiked the WCT in May of 2011, and needed a place to crash before catching the water taxi in the morning. -Had a great overnight there, hot water clean towels etc. The place was adequate but going through renos and a management change. Rona... More

I tried to check in at 3:30pm on a Sunday and couldn't find anyone around. I came back at 4:00, knocked and knocked and finally someone came to give me a key. The sheets had a stain, the comforter had a cigarette burn, the coffee maker was very dirty, stains on the carpet, tv was broken and shower head was... More
