We had a group of seven stay at the Northland Lodge in September/October 2015. Stacey was a fantastic host and was incredibly accommodating. Her fresh, homemade morning muffins were simply amazing. The rooms were very homey and had an instantly comfortable feeling when you entered. She was always available to provide local advice and tips. She even joined us for... More

We stayed here for our anniversary at the end of September, which also corresponded with the blood moon. Much of the town was closed, but Northland Lodge provided a warm, quiet, comfortable room. It's an older building with smallish rooms, but the remodeling has been done as well as possible, and the cleanliness is beyond reproach. We slept well, for... More

We've stayed at a lot of B&B's all over the world, and this one didn't live up to its reputation. The ladies who run it are very nice, as are the pastries and other treats. But the living/dining area is tired, lacking in charm and smelled strongly of fried bacon when we arrived in the late afternoon. Our room was... More

We went to Waterton without room reservations. When we got there we looked on Trip Adviser and came up with this little gem. A very welcoming host, clean rooms and yummy muffins in the morning along with great homemade Saskatoon jam made it a nice stay. Only negative would be the tiny bathroom. Not a hotel more like a BandB.

We were 6 senior ladies on a road trip and stayed here for 2 nights in between Glacier in Montana and Lake Louise in Alberta. This is not a luxury hotel, which we knew going in, but we found it to be comfortable and cozy. Very small bathroom with the sink in the room proper was workable. We had rooms... More

This house is not even a guesthouse. The owner has just decided to rent the bedrooms. She takes advantage of the fact that all the hotels/motels do not deal with any groups such as Expedia or Booking.com and that those brokers tag the "complete" status for those Hotels/motels. No TV SET, no air conditionning give a "rustic" atmosphere.

This guy is full of it. He made it painfully clear to everyone that his family had dietary restrictions. Jeanne made his wife special batches of muffins without nuts as well as provided gluten free options for his children. Also, I heard her recommend the Prince of Whales Hotel to other guests for dinner telling them that the restaurant has... More

This house was built by the same man, Louis Hill, who built the Prince of Wales, so it is old and space and room layouts reflect that. The owners have tried to make the most of that without removing its history. The owner is the most welcoming hostess ever! She told us about the house's history and was amazingly congenial... More

Thank you for your comments, all of our reviews are important to us and we follow them closely. While the Northland Lodge was one of the largest homes built in the park in 1928, it is small by today's standards which is noted on our confirmations and by almost all of the reviews written. What we lack in size we... More

Short version: unique location within the town; comfy/homey property and superb host. Detailed version: we just spent 6 nights at the Northland Lodge and loved it. Waterton Lakes NP has "all the beauty but a fraction of the crowds" and we actually ran out of days to do all the hikes and paddles we wanted to. Northland Lodge, in turn,... More

We stayed in Bessie's room this year and it was great. Two adults and two young children. Very clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was comfortable. Sink in the main living area and the kids loved it! Easy walk to the town and Cameron's falls. Quiet at night. No fan in the room which made it a bit stuffy but... More
