We stayed for two nights at the Bear Mountain motel during our summer holidays last year. The rooms are basic, ours had a small kitchenette with two cooking plates, there was no large pot. Microwave is outside for everybody to share. Luckily it was close to our room as it was raining heavily. The walls are painted brick. The bedspread... More

Stayed two nights in early July. Although there was a notice warning us that "soundproofing was rare in the 1960s" our corner room was quiet. We did not hear the neighbors. The room (and especially the bathroom) were very small. If cleanliness is next to godliness, then this place was heaven. Considering its age, it was "very well preserved." The... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Mountain! For the two nights we stayed it was perfect. The room was very clean, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and the shower was better than some in 5 star hotels we've stayed in! The lobby had coffee and hot water available throughout the day and evening along with various teas and hot... More

We were traveling with our daughter and son-in-law and really appreciated tour suite with two queen bedrooms. The coffee and tea were great, wifi worked, beds comfortable, outdie grills and adirondack chairs so nice, and the staff was so friendly. We loved Waterton and hope to return. Will definitely stay here again.

Wow, what a nice surprise. It was exactly what the owners and the ads say it is, an older type motel with brick walls on all sides of the room. I stayed in a small king with a kitchen type as part of the room. The bathroom is small with an old type metal shower..... But the entire room is... More

Have stayed at Bear Mountain 3 times over the last 4 years and will keep returning to this hotel. There are never any nasty surprises at this hotel. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is always clean and very comfortable , as well as, affordable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bear Mountain Motel is a great place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful, location is great. Nice place to sit outside your room and a communal space for eating and barbecuing. Motel is old so rooms are small and bathrooms are tiny but it is spotless. Good value for your money.

You will hear everything that is said in the next room. Other than that, and the fact that the motel is very old and outdated, it is acceptable for those on a shoestring budget that can only afford $150 canadian per night. But don't expenct much, the owners bill it as "simple" and "50's stye"...their words not mine.

We stayed here for three nights. Rooms are basic (painted cinder block walls, tinny shower cubicles, limited clothes storage space), but clean, warm and comfortable - particularly the bed, which seemed very new. There is a gas BBQ for guests' use, as well as a microwave, and unlimited tea and coffee while the office is open. Internet access is variable,... More
