My husband & I booked 4 days at this hotel to take a break from his hectic work schedule. We knew most of the town would be closed this late in the season, but were planning on simply relaxing anyways. The spacious deluxe suite is divided into three rooms, with a corner gas fireplace in both the living room &... more

This property is not on the lake, but is a great place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The suites are very clean and well-appointed. The bed is comfortable. There is a bedroom, bath (jacuzzi tub) and living room. There is a "closet" with microwave and refrigerator -- along with the coffeemaker and coffee. We wouldn't stay any... more

We have made a couple of trips to Waterton and always stayed at the Kilmorey Lodge. Since it burned down in January 2009 we had to find other accommodations for our September trip. After reading all the reviews on Waterton Glacier Suites I was a little hesitant to book a room but did so anyway. We were not disappointed. The... more

I am staying at this hotel right now and was here just recently on a past weekend as well. I have to say that it is a much calmer time period right now as the last time I was here there was some crazy noisy wedding group here that refused to settle down. The managers on site were very professional... more

The Manager appeared to be on a power trip. Was not pleasant or accomodating. more

Management response from
Zack Barrantes, manager

We are sorry you felt the manager was not accomodating. He was trying to deal with a hotel guest from a wedding group who had far too many people in his room that were being too noisy well past midnight and were not listening to warnings. We strive for our guests to have a good time and enjoy their stay...

At checkout, was surprised to be charged an extra amount (legitimate) The issue was solely with the immediate defensive posture taken by the guy at the desk. One question and he was off to the races, even telling me to leave the premises. My only conclusion is that this is a regular occurrence at this establishment, resulting in instant reactions... more

Management response from

We apologize for you feeling that the gentleman at the front desk was rude to you. Our staff is used to hotel policy breakers being irrational and spending many minutes arguing that they did nothing wrong and shouldn't be charged. You were charged a fine due to being caught smoking in your room, yet this was denied and argued about....

I have stayed at hotels all across Canada and never have I been more upset with the service recieved. Yes the location and rooms were beautiful but that does not make up for how unhappy I am with the service. I found the rooms to be over priced. The website advertised them at a price and once at the hotel... more

Management response from
Zack Barrantes, manager

We are sorry you found our rooms to be overpriced. Our prices reflect the quality of the rooms and are comparable to other hotels in the area and in other National Parks. Prices advertised on our website are the same as what they are upon check-in, unless you are to add more people to the room, as all prices are...

On check-in, all was good, but it went down hill from there. Beware of the cleaning staff, as they will take anything that is not put away, and justify anything missing as, "our cleaning staff is instructed to clean the room and remove everything that is not a personal belonging". I guess this includes empties (worth money in Alberta), packaged... more

Management response from
Zack Barrantes, manager

Our hotel has been the recipient of Alberta Hotel Association housekeeping awards for several years. Our cleaning staff is instructed to not enter rooms until guests have vacated the room. If empty bottles (which guests normally don't want to pack around on vacation), food items or change was taken from a room, a guest could simply ask for it back....

We are visitors from UK. Three of us booked in for 1 night on 18 June 2009. We had requested a 2 bedroom suite - 1 with two beds and the other with one bed. On arrival they told us there was only 1 bed in the bedroom and a fold-up bed in the other room. They could offer us... more

Management response from

If we showed a bad attitude at any time during your stay, we truly apologize as service is our number one priority and when we fail we take it seriously. None of our suites have two beds, our Deluxe Suite is a two room suite that offers a living room with a pull out double sofa bed and one separate...
