We had a great weekend at the Waterton Lakes Resort. The room was great. Huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a huge king size bed with a gas fireplace. These features made our stay very cosey and romantic. We ate both breakfasts and dinners at Vimmy's and the food was great and tasty. On our first night, our server/bartender... More

The New Years Eve Dinner was excellent. We didnt stay at the lodge as we stayed with friends who have a cabin in Waterton. But the meal was excellent. I had Elk, my husband had buffalo. Friends had steak and salmon. It was all first class. However, New Years day buffet lunch/brunch was not so good...but I guess the staff... More

Went in October of this year (2012). Great because we could bring our two dogs. Decent room. Clean and cozy. Stayed 2 nights. Everything in town but the bar/resto at the lodge was closed so we ate all meals there and had some drinks there as well. Food was fine - not amazing but not terrible at all. Staff was... More

On the Plus side: you get most of what you need in your bedroom. The hotel is well located close to shops and restaurants and is open even out of the main season. The lodge (main building) has a nice (but pricy) restaurant. You also get good service from the managers who will help with touristic options and special needs... More

We stayed here for two nights with our 2.5 year old and loved every minute of it! A 2 bed suite with a pull-out in the front room was perfect for us. We used the well-stocked kitchen to make snacks and late night teas. Our son went to bed exhausted after hiking and then swimming in the lodge's heated pool.... More

The room can get quite hot as we where on the 2nd floor, there is a ceiling fan in the room. The bathroom had a skylight which was great, no window to open so it would get quite hot. Maid service wasn't great. Took our shower soap but did't leave a nother one to use? Not sure why they took... More

Where to start!! We knew everywhere in Waterton was expensive but when you pay almost $200 a night you expect a lot more than what we got! Front desk were fine on arrival. There are no lifts in each block so if you are on the second floor you have to carry your bags up. Just something to note. Also... More

Yes, the Waterton Lakes Lodge is an experience, I wish I could say a happy one. Not so, the place is for Backpackers not Tourist, primitive to say the least at 5 star prices. Zimy's restaurant, part of the Lodge, is an absolute disgrace. The food we ordered took over an hour to be served and when it was finally... More

Lodging is tough in Waterton. If you're not going to spring for the Prince of Wales, you'll have to settle for just average here at the Waterton Lakes Lodge. The location is just fine, and the "resort" is spread out across a couple of blocks in the center of town. It's a close walk to everything in Waterton (which is... More

Spent two nights here at the beginning of our trip to the Rockies, mainly to do a day trip into Glacier NP. The hotel was fine, great location in town, clean and quiet. A little pricey, but then everything in Canada is expensive, especially the food. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Waterton Lakes NP and loved our... More
