We wanted a place we could enjoy the nature, peace and quiet and be able to dine and not have to travel in the evening. La Berengerie was a charming place, very clean the host was helpful and not intrusive, we felt at home. The rooms were quiet and peaceful except for the chatty birds in the morning which only... Old, tired, "rustic" B&B with no amenities such as even soap! Awful breakfast, 1 overdone baked egg, croissant, and a very tiny serving of plain fruit. Coffee poor and bitter - like Starbucks on steroids! No welcoming attitude or smile - don't go!!

When reading some of the reviews on here, I noticed that the only good ones were for the restaurant which is actually owned and operated by a totally different owner. So do not confuse La Berengerie B&B with La Berengerie Restaurant. I didn't dine at the Restaurant but the breakfast itself is made by the B&B owner and is very... More

Unfortunately we got to this B&B through a package we bought, I wish we wouldn't have bought the package. The rooms are clean but very OLD, and not well maintained. It is like they did it with love 30 years ago and that was it. There was not even a bar of soap in the shower! The shower door hardly... More

We were traveling on our boat, so we didn't stay at the B&B. Dinner was lovely. Our 3 course meal began with a delicious cold beet soup and then a salad. We chose the duck breast as our main course and then two desserts arrived, the creme caramel and a cake with a berry coulis, which was also delicious. Our... More

The only difference with our own experience is that we decided not to stay there after we saw the conditions. The owner considers appropriate to charge $125 per night for that nightmare! After we did not stay and therefore did not use her B&B services she decided to charge our credit card anyways by $95! That would be the highest... More

My husband and I stayed at La Berengerie for one night this long weekend. We were open to stay for the second night if we were happy with the place which obviously was not the case. If you are looking for a nice place for dinner in Galiano Island, La Berengerie is a perfect spot (considering that everything closes quite... More

The Bed and Breakfast La Berengeriot is amazing tucked in the woods but the kicker is that Huegette the owner prepares dinner and she is from Provence France and you will be amazed at the fine dining.....Superb fine French cuisine tucked in an area full of tall Douglas Fir and redwood... The place is a short ferry ride from Vancouver..... More
