I was at Driftwood (14th visit I think), and once again had a most peaceful and relaxing time. This was my first winter stay and it was magical. Some of the trees were bare, which offered up even better views of Active Passage. The grounds were more still and quiet and the coloured lights in the fruit trees made it... More

Driftwood Village is a great place to stay on Galiano Island. The accommodations are simple-- don't expect many frills here. However, the place had everything we needed, beautiful location, charming cottage, lovely grounds, and a very friendly owner/staff (I'm assuming we were dealing with the owner but didn't confirm). We'd definitely stay here again if we head back to the... More

This grouping of motel-like units is intended for people who want down-to-earth charm, not snazzy modern luxury. It felt a bit like a time-warp to the 1960s, but in a calming way - things have not changed here much, putting you in contact with the way Canada used to be. We stayed here for a weekend in three units, with... More

This is the most affordable and beautiful place to stay on Galiano Island. You're close to stores, restaruants and parks. Ocean views, sunrise, clean and accomodating. Great love nest for two, or familly weekend retreat. We had a great time there and plan on going back! Driftwood Village is a unique place, an amazing getaway!

We stayed at Driftwood Village during our daughters wedding weekend. Amid the flurry of wedding activity the village was a peaceful place of refuge. It was relaxing to sit on the deck and sip our coffee and take a time out. The owner was very courteous, personable and helpful. The bed was great. Once the wedding was over I slept... More

My husband + I stayed for 2 nights at Driftwood cottages and we had a really nice stay. The cottages were clean, comfortable and full of character. We enjoyed eating our meals on the verandah and finishing our day soaking in the hot tub! Thanks again guys, we highly recommend your cottages! Laura + Ryan.

Had a lovely 2 nights at Driftwood cottages. The management was kind enough to shuttle our group around when needed, which was really appreciated. They really went above and beyond to accommodate our group's needs. The hottub and badminton was a nice touch and local beaches were beautiful. The deer and variety of birds to see were a treat as... Once again, our peaceful get-away to Driftwood; staying in our favourite little cottage, was wonderful! The natural beauty of the property and the birdsong and deer surrounded us in magic! Even saw an otter this time too! And a full moon! The weather was chilly, but we could still hang out on our porch to read, relax or dine, and... More

The cottages aren't fancy but they are they offer a cozy retreat in a nice, tranquil setting. There's Peekaboo views of active pass and easy access to amenities in Sturdies Bay, the ferry and more. Friendly staff and a reasonable cost, too add to the appeal.

I've been escaping to Driftwood village every now and then since 2000. I keep coming back, especially in the sholder season when the prices are more in my range. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend with the family or a romantic retreat. The cabins do vary, and in general it seems the ones named... More
