We arrived here after the ferry from prince rupert. We checked in quickly with virtually not a word spoken by the man at the counter. On arriving at the room we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of smoke. The whole room and all the upholstery stank. It was as though someone was chain smoking in the room. We had... More

Sixties style motel, old fashioned, looks a bit grim. Good room size, beds clean, mattresses not bad. Old TV but works fine. Coffee machine. Bathroom reasonable with amazing pattern of cracks in wash basin. The bath was more comfortable than most modern hotels with flat surfaces to put your coffee and bikkies, so I'll forgive them for the pubic hair... More

Only a one night stay after ferry from Prince Rupert. Lots of people checking in and it was handled efficiently by one person on the desk. The ambience in the lobby is not particularly welcoming or attractive but our room was large and clean and we slept well. Town is small but quaint. Did not eat in the restaurant so... More

We arrived there very late after catching the ferry (after 9 days kayaking the central coast). Agreed that this is nothing special, but we were greeted by a very rude welcome. I know it was late, but we couldn't control the ferry arrival time. The place is really run down, and I wouldn't stay again.

Ignore the very negative reviews about this motel, Port Hardy is not Victoria, its a quaint fishing town in the middle of nowhere! For a one night stay or a few nights when fishing its perfect. The staff are great, the chinese restaurant attached is excellent and the waitresses lovely and very helpful. If you're expecting a plush modern boutique... More

I was on my way to Prince Rupert and needed to stay overnight to take the early morning ferry. I was traveling with my son (9 year old boy). I can't say good or bad. I guess, average for the location. The room was clean, location is 10 minutes from Ferry. Room was hot and no air conditioning plus no... More

Stayed here after the ferry one evening, I had read all the reviews and was concerned about the hotel. When we arrived I was very surprised, the hotel is old but very well looked after, immaculately clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again anytime.

Should have been less than $49/nite! no fridge,no air conditioning,no pen & paper, windows dirty and sill full of broken paint and flies, 1/2 of lite bulbs worked, sink cracked and rusted, old old carpet, coffee pot still untouched from last victims, no extra pillow, furniture from the 70's, only 2 rooms sold that Saturday nite , manager probably wouldn't have answered... We stayed here for 1 night on our way through. We arrived late from the ferry and our only goal was to get a good night sleep. The hotel itself is not the best, by far not the best. Hotel staff at check in was a little bit grumpy, but we have never checked in faster in a hotel; within... More

Very tired hotel ,dirty carpets noise in corridors no bar restaurant after 9 o'clock despite ferry docking at ten thirty.i should use only as last resort. Old CRT televisions no hair dryers, smells of stale smoke and damp.
