I stayed at Bear Cove Cottages for 28 days in 2013, to enjoy some much deserved annual leave. Time off of being a Lightkeeper who works every day for 47 weeks straight, and being able to simply relax without stress is rejuvenating. The huge challenges of finding any places that were comfortable enough without being too expensive were seemingly non... More

Bear Cove Cottages is a wonderful place to begin a Canada vacation! We visited in June 2013 and stayed three nights, and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of Bear Cove Cottages. Bear Cove is easy to find and within walking distance to the BC Ferry pick-up location. Our cottage was clean and well appointed with all the... More

We booked a multiple day stay and stayed in cottage #6. We were apparently the only folks at the cottages, so it was very disappointing that we were placed into a cottage in which staff and owner knew the shower was broken. i.e. the portion that holds the shower head was broken, therefore my 70 plus year old mother and... We first of all thank you for choosing our establishment for you and your mother's getaway.I remember when you left that you did tell me everything was great...except for the broken shower head.I was fully booked two of your four nights,as I see you thought you were the only guests here.It was a simple misunderstanding between my cleaning staff and... I rarely need to give negative reviews but feel the need to here. Accommodation Firstly there is absolutely nowhere to put away any clothing as there are no drawers, shelves or cupboards just a couple of coat hangers on a wall. There is also nowhere to sit apart from a couple of wooden chairs. Everything about the cabin felt tired... More

Thank you for staying with us. We are often told this is the "best place on our trip",or "wish we could stay longer".I was very surprised that you said we were the worst place you've stayed.I can assure you we did not receive our Certificate of Excellence this year by "not caring".I have never "insisted"somebody pay. Alot of my guests... More

My husband, son, & I stayed in Cabin 2 at Bear Cove Cottages the 2nd week of August, 2012. We had an amazing trip. By the time we came home, we were already planning to return for summer vacation in 2013. This year, our son brought his best friend & we stayed in Cabin 1. Getting there: We prefer to... More

We booked a multiple day stay. Let me start by saying that the kitchen was well stocked with good cooking pots and dishes. The full sized stove was appreciated. The cottage was extremely quiet although the cottages are very close together. It may have been because of the rain or the courtesy of the other guests. The gas fireplace took... More

We stayed 2 nights while waiting to board the ferry to Prince Rupert. The view from the dining table window was superb, I don't think I have spent so much time just gazing out a window. Self contained. Jetted tubs. If you need accom in Port Hardy look no further than these stunning cottages.

Stayed here after a late night arrival on BC ferry from Prince Rupert. It was a nice comfortable place to stay. I would recommend staying here and will stay again in the near future. This would ideal for a longer stay as well.

My husband & I spent the Easter long weekend at Bear Cove Cottages and we really enjoyed ourselves. Darren (the onsite manager) was there to greet us and provide us with a few of Port Hardy's secret spots to check out, we took Darren's advise and I suggest you do too!! The cottage is just what we needed. A nice... More
