My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! One of the best experiences at a campground. Very welcoming owners and beautiful tent area. The showers and main bathroom were very clean. It was also very reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend :)

we stayed here two nights, surprised how much it cost to pitch a tent. Our site was #53 was okay, pretty clean. Enough room for your tent, vehicle and table/chairs. Campground keepers were friendly. when we left to go home we saw another campsite that charged $20/night with hookups for RVs! Would recommend flip flops in showers. Showers were nice... More

This campground is perfection. We arrived to a campground with sincere owners, so friendly and helpful. The campground is so beautiful and quit next to the river. A lot bald eagles flying buy, see the salmon jumping over the rocks or swimming in the deeper water. Locals told us about bears feeding at a bridge nearby at a certain time... More

This campground is awesome by most standards. Nice, big, private sites. Close to town. Very nice bathrooms and showers. Super nice staff. I felt so lucky to be there. But then at 3:00 in the morning, the fishing crowd was up and running. Loud talking men and women, loud diesel trucks leaving. I was in a tent so was jolted... More

We stayed 2 nights in July 2014 (site 55) and we would say "thank you" for the kindness of the personal. Campsite very good and especially toilets and showers were very clean. I stayed for two nights at this campground. It's quiet enough and still close to the main road and the ferry terminal. The campground is run as a non-for profit business and the proceeds go to support the salmon hatchery close-by. Sites are neat, the old growth forest location is beautiful and the sanitary block looks new and well maintained.

We stayed 3 nights here in June 2013. We were initially booked in to site #12, but we weren't thrilled with it. We asked to be moved to #33 (bigger and not muddy) and our request was pleasantly granted. The host gave my husband some fishing suggestions (fresh water) and excellent recommendations on where to ocean kayak. The washrooms/showers were... More

Nice quiet RV park close to Port Hardy. Campsites are a good size with power and water. Central holding tank dump, firewood available. We hiked the Quatse River Trail and saw salmon waiting to go upriver to spawn. Had trouble getting on the WiFi with my iPad - could be an improvement there. Salmon Enhancement facility adjoins the campground, which... More

Peaceful amongst the local old huge forest trees. Free wifi, free showers, fire wood(donations accepted), onsite laundry and great Quatse Salmon Stewardship Centre on site worth the tour and interesting. Great hosts and walking trails even one down to Port Hardy downtown. Bears in the area and Bald Eagles. The drive up from Nanaimo was stunning and views amazing with... More

We had lots of space for the tent and the car. The camp site is in the Forrest and next to the river, lots of fish. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beatiful area of Vancouver island not so busy as the south and west side. Highly recommendable, worth the drive up to this part of the island.
