sink plugged with hair etc, had to clean myself. carpet very dated , room cramped with furniture , terrible high prices for dinner, 19.00 for Caesar salad with chicken, room located in a cramped corner, price was 160.00 per night, should have been 80.00 based on comparable room down south, had to wait 1.5 hours to get my dinner, outside... Comfortable, clean room. Only drawback to the beautiful view from your deck view is that you are next to the takeoff run for float planes. Not too frequent, though, and it stops at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fair hike to the town; easy drive. Small town has all the essentials. Found a good photo shop when I needed... More

I really don't expect much from a hotel. Clean room, reasonable price, Internet and tv. Well this place got the clean room part right. If your planning on staying here better bring a board game because you get basic cable and the Internet is horrid..I actually had to disconnect and use my phone for this review,it was literally impossible to... The hotel is in a great location, we arrived late at night so didn't see the excellent view out of the bedroom window over the inlet. Communications over the booking were good and the staff on arrival were most helpful. The room was OK but looking tired, particularly the bathroom. The hotel is really a motel with very few common... My wife ended up sleeping on the floor and I got up at 4 am because of the bed. There are firm mattresses and soft mattresses. In this case we both ended up rolling to the middle of the bed because the sag in the soft mattress was that bad. It was not a case of preferring a firm mattress... More

We had to get our truck fixed in Port Hardy and we asked where the best place is to go for lunch, and they said the Glen Lyon Inn, it had a great view with eagles constantly flying around. The lunch was so good, my husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was brought to us in a timely manner... More

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and had lovely views of the ocean. Beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I would recommend the Glen Lyon to anyone looking for a place to stay in Port Hardy.

Myself and several staff members arrived to a very warm reception by hotel staff, from check in to check out we very much enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and furnished nicely, the whole experience was really wonderful. Can't stress enough how friendly the staff was, we just felt so comfortable and relaxed there,... More

We recently travelled up Island to Port Hardy and when we checked in told them it was our twenty fifth wedding ann so we got the honeymoon suite, superb, just go. Dinner in their restaurant was fresh fish form the harbour behind us and their pub hosts local BC beers, Island living and loving it, whales are coming through then... More
