My wife and I stayed there in July 2015 for one night. It was a stayover, on our way to Cape Scott Provincial Park. The hotel is well located and the service is helpful and friendly. The room was large and clean, with a balcony overlooking the nice harbour. We had dinner at the pub and breakfast at the restaurant... More

We called here one lunch time, I ordered halibut and my wife salmon. The service and food were excellent as we ate our lunch at a window table overlooking the estuary. My wife also ordered a dessert, cheesecake which was also excellent, if you are in the area give it a go, the only downside is that the first time... More

I stayed here with 3 of my fishing buddy's. We all thought the stay was great. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful sleep. The rooms, although not modern, were functional and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were wonderful and catered to our needs. The rates were very reasonable. Would recommend this hotel for anyone,... More

Hotel is somewhat dated, but the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean. Front end staff was very friendly and helpful. Every room has a water view, just make sure you bring ear plugs for the float planes! You definitely get more back for your buck than staying at the Quarterdeck which is $50 more per night with no view.

We were just looking for a place to stay that was clean and safe for one night. We were pleasantly surprised. This hotel was spotless and the beds were super comfortable. The staff made sure everything was easy for us to make our Ferry on time, made sure we had the bill organized the night before, gave us directions and... More

This is a decent quality hotel right on the bay in Port Hardy. Definitely not Vancouver but if you're in Port Hardy and need a place for a couple of nights you won't be disappointed. The rooms are clean but could soon need a coat of paint. The staff is extremely friendly and treats you like you've been there a... More

I have stayed at the Glen Lyon more than 50 nights in the past three years. The service is excellent. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The location is very convenient, without being too close the the centre of the city. Beautiful nature walks along the Quatse waterway are near by and the local industrial area is fascinating -- the... More

This hotel is well maintained. The room was very comfortable. The lobby had morning coffee available as well. The desk staff was helpful in requesting a taxi for me. (Taxis in Port Hardy are cash only.)

Room was clean and comfortable, if a bit dated but there was evidence of refurbishment going on, staff were helpful and polite, and all the rooms overlook Hardy Bay. Most people would be staying here to catch the ferry to Prince Rupert or after getting off the ferry. Room price was high when compared with other hotels on Vancouver Island,... More

Port hardy is not big with limited choices. The room was clean with water view. The one and only restaurant is very limited, nothing for vegeterians. It's really too bad. The room was cold and took a while to warm up. There are many workers stay here on the Friday night which was a bit noisy.
