Large room, big comfortable bed, very well appointed shower room. Breakfast, served upstairs in a lovely dining space, was exceptional. High quality local produce alongside excellent homemade bread, preserves and yoghurt. Lynne is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host, whose many additional touches lift the Old Chapel above other upscale B&Bs. For example, OS maps to take when walking and a... More

We stayed two nights at this exceptional B & B. Very hospitable host (Lynne) who went the extra mile. Very friendly, clean and comfortable in a beautiful area. Very good breakfast sets you up for the day. Excellent pub for delicious food a very short walk away. Hopefully we will return soon. Highly recommended!

Lynne was the perfect host and the old chapel was immaculately presented, the breakfast is incredible and the homemade jams an extra touch! I would reccommend the Old chapel to anyone, 10/10 from Saul & Jenny! P.S if Lynne recommends you book a table to eat locally take her advice, we didn't and went hungry!

A perfect place to rest and recuperate after experiencing the highs and lows of the countryside direct, from the front door. Accomodation, food and service beyond expectation, you are made to feel right at home. Not to be missed.

A warm welcome, immaculate home, modern bathroom, fresh flowers in rooms, nice warm lighting. It was like staying in a lovely decorated guest room in a friend's home. Some people should be in the hospitality industry and The Old Chapel is run by such a couple. Just enough friendliness to make you feel at ease and thoughtful touches to make... More

As well as a well-respected B and B the Old Chapel is also holiday cottage. Four bedrooms and bathrooms though none en-suite). Large combined lounge, kitchen, and dining-room upstairs (it's a big room!!) three bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs - one upstairs. Comfortable settees, TV and internet connections. Excellent equipment includes micro-wave and dishwasher and large fridge-freezer. And an home baked... More

This is one of the best bed and breakfast's I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a great many. we booked two rooms, one for my wife and myself and one for our daughter. We completely concur with the views expressed by other reviewers, except for the remarks concerning the rooms, which both my wife, my daughter... More

Certainly one of the very best B & B's, not to be missed. The initial friendly warm welcome, from Lynne the owner, only a very pleasant taste of the service that followed. Inside this fabulous building the accommodation, more than adequate, very clean and spacious. Breakfast, plenty of choice to suit all tastes, more than filling for the days activities.... More

A fabulous weekend was had in this lovely old chapel. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Lynne, who's a marvellous host, with a fresh pot of tea and a scrummy cake. The double room with shower was clean, comfortable and tidy. The breakfast set us up for the whole day with plenty of home made yogurts, jams and a... More

As it's name suggests, this is a converted chapel in a lovely, quiet southern Peak District village. The bedrooms themselves are comfortable, albeit on the small size, with modern shower rooms and are all on the ground floor. Rather disappointingly, given the building, they are rather characterless. The same is not true of the breakfast room which takes full advantage... More
