Our first visit, and we will return. We stopped in pitch 38 crickhollow. Opposite the cliff face, it was quiet with sounds of birds only. Nice pitch, and having spent many years pitching on open space, it was unusual to be in a quarry. That said it grew on me. Hard standing is HARD standing. Bring STRONG pegs with a... More

My wife and I stayed in a yurt for three nights.Very warm with the log fire going, but a bit of a treck to the loo block which was at the rear of the site.Bit of a bumpy road leading t the yurt.Family came as well. One in a camper van and two others in tents with electric hook ups.Plenty of space... My wife and I stayed here for three nights with my father-in-law in a holiday lodge. We were so impressed with the location, look and feel of the place coupled with the warm friendly reception by all of the staff we made an offer on one of the static caravan holiday homes for sale here. In our wanderings about the... More

There is so much that is good about this park but its the Little Things which were less good that took the edge off of our stay here. It is obvious that a lot of time and effort has gone into creating a park inside a quarry. However there needs to be an attention to detail - such as untidy... More

This is our third visit to the site over the last 10 years or so. It's in a convenient location for the western White Peak attractions such as Dovedale Harrington and the Tissington and High Peak Trails. However we probably won't be back again. Not that there is fundamentally anything seriously wrong about the site, it's just that it's focus... More

Thank you for your review. You are correct in that we are re-building an eco-spa area and access road to it about 200 metres outside of the main pitching area. I am sorry you were inconvenienced by the noise of the building work; the builders are starting late (after 10 a.m.) finishing early and have now largely completed work that... More

Great location for a "Peak" based holiday being fairly centrally located. The unisex washroom was ok but would really benefit from more hooks in all the cubicles. Minor niggles aside we shall certainly consider returning.

Thank you for a lovely trip, in a very quiet location (this is not a bad thing!), we thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the country. Clean, well maintained and a great price, what more can you wish for! Will be back!

The site is quite difficult to find, primarily because it's in the middle of nowhere. The postcode DE6 1QU offered on the site took me to Ashbourne. The Rivendale Leisure Park is some six miles further north up the A515. While there are some elements of my stay that could have been better; I'll go in to detail in a... More

Thank you for your review, we are disappointed that having provided great value in the room and pub, things went so badly wrong at breakfast - for which you have our sincere apologies. We have never run out of eggs as we sell proper free range eggs from the local farm in the shop as well as using them in... More

I have just come back from a three night stay with my husband and a couple of friends. We were on an electric hook up tent pitch, pitch #2 it was quite dark with high trees behind us which meant that from late afternoon whilst everyone else was relaxing in bright sunshine all evening we were wrapped up in jumpers... Thank you for your review. Most of the tent pitches in the main pitching area are 9m wide x 14m long - but they vary up to 20m x 10m, so if you have a large tent it pays to let us know, the same applies to a preference for shade or sun - we will then do our best... More

Stayed for a couple of nights just recently. Site is in an excellent location for Tissington Trail etc and we chose to camp in the meadow. Easy check-in, free to choose pitching location. Wheelbarrows to transfer kit from car to pitch good idea. We ate in the pub one evening and the food was good, quickly served, hot and the... More
