Myself and my 2 daughters had the pleasure of staying at Bassettwood during easter half term. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The farm is beautifully positioned in Tissington.Handy for the trail and close to Dovedale. Sarah showed us around the wonderful animals on arrival and the girls helped to feed the lambs. We drove a sort distance to... More

It is hard to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay at Bassettwood. Reason we often book a stay at a b&b is the surprise element; you never know what you're walking into. Sometimes the surprise is disappointing but not time time. Driving up the lane to the b&b was an experience in itself. The remote location appealed... More

visited today for second time and set to become regulars, what a lovely family and what a welcome. My partner was asked if she would like to bottle feed the lambs omg it was like all her xmas' rolled into one. An absolute gem of a place with awesome homemade food but the hospitality makes it 5 star

We spent a delightful 3 nights with our daughter during half term. Sarah and Brian are lovely, friendly people for whom nothing is too much trouble. Our daughter got to feed tiny lambs and a gorgeous, baby pygmy goat called Mistletoe. Safe storage for our bikes was provided and the food was great. Would highly recommend this out of the... More

Me and my wife had a fantastic night away in the shepards hut. We arrived with our bikes checked in with no problems and set off for a little adventure along the tissington trail that's just a few minutes away. We got back had a coffee and just enjoyed the peace. We are a family of 5 and our time... More

We stayed in Tissington for an October wedding and booked Bassettwood based on it's proximity to Tissington Hall (which is about 15 minutes depending on heel height). Unusually we didn't do too much research so had no expectations at all when we arrived. What a great surprise when we did arrive! The (working) farm is down a country lane and... More

My husband and I were out exploring Tissington and came across Bassettwood tea rooms. The cream tea was great and the owners were extremely friendly. Nothing was any trouble. A great find. We would definitely look at staying here at some point.

We were looking for a quiet retreat in the Derbyshire countryside for the night and our stay at Bassett Wood did not disappoint. Tucked away slightly from the picturesque village of Tissington, the farm and the old farmhouse buildings were delightful and it was surrounded by beautiful Derbyshire countryside. We stayed in the farmhouse in a large double en suite... More

We stumbled upon Bassettwood Farm this weekend while we were on day's bike ride around the peak district. The main pull for us was a sign we spotted in Tissington Village that said there were animals to pet and feed. It was a only a short 5 minute ride from the village centre and when we arrived in the driveway... More

Bassettwood tea room open's only for a few days a week but what a smashing place to enjoy a drink and a light snack. The cream tea is wonderful, scones cooked daily with lashings of cream/jam and a large pot of tea to wash it down with.
