If you stay here be aware this is an Auberge - not a b&b.. it is a restaurant first and foremost, with wonderful food and very romantic atmosphere, with some very clean but very basic rooms upstairs. There is a reason that the majority of earlier TA reviews are not in English: the auberge is really rural and in a part of France that English speakers rarely go. The two best things about this place is the views and the food!  Friendly enough staff, the room was very rustic and has exposed wood beams and stone walls. The Auberge d'Aijean is a hamlet of about 100 people in the Cantal, a mountainous and remote area of France. We stayed there for 2 nights, and I have a feeling we will be back at some point for more.
