I was with a friend on a walking holiday and stayed 2 nights B&B at the Bay Horse 16-18 Aug 2015. We stayed in room 4 which was small with a dolls house size shower room with toilet and sink. The bedding and towels were very clean and fresh and the towels were changed daily. Twin beds were not comfortable.... More

My partner and I were booked in for two nights in room 5. It was a little shabby, no TV remote (see other reviews) and the worlds smallest bathroom. During our first night the heating made a sound similar to a generator running. This happened every few hours and lasted 30-40 minutes every time, making it impossible to get sleep.... More

Stayed 2 weeks ago, we had a very warm welcome, showed to our room, it had a big bed, which was very comfy, but was shocked at the bathrooms, you have to step up into it, and its just like a caravan plastic cubicle, have never come across this before, the shower we had to stand sideways, as it was... Due to a mix up with our original accommodation we decided to stay somewhere in the Cheviots. They were able to fit us in even through they seemed quite busy which was excellent. Absolutely lovely location. It's remote but just adds to its charm. Room 7 is lovely just duck when you go through the doorway then opens up. Great... More

I would most likely have scored this 4 had it not been for the bathroom issue mentioned below. This review is based on room 3 for a two night stay ( Mon - Wed). Place is easy to find and we received a warm welcome upon our arrival. We were shown to our room, which was a decent size and clean.... More

visited bay horse couple of weeks ago, but was very dissappointed. The room was nice bathroom or pod as there called was very small but we managed. The meals however leave a lot to be desired, breakfast was ok but the evening meals were terrible. Ate on the first night pork and cider casserole was very fatty and a lot... More

Lovely large bright room with large comfy double and a single bed. Well decorated. En-suite shower room with free toiletries, small but clean and fresh. Usual well stocked hospitality tray. Breakfast was huge and tasty and meals in the bar good value for good food. Dogs are welcome in the Bay Horse which is an added bonus. Within easy distance... More

Visited the bay horse inn on a deal and when we first arrived I was taken back by how remote it was Upon arrival the check in was good and although the decor in the room is a little dated the room was clean and comfortable. However when I sat on the bed it simply fell apart so we went... More

This was our second visit to the Bay Horse and we again found it a very enjoyable experience. The warmth of welcome by the staff and the friendliness of the local were the outstanding features of the visit. Our room was clean and of a good pub standard and the full Northumbrian breakfasts were very enjoyable. On the Saturday evening... More

Our room ( no.2 ) was quite large, en suite and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The food was excellent and locally sourced and the roast beef was superb. If you had the full English breakfast you would not need lunch!! The bar was as one would imagine of a typical country inn and they also had my favourite draught beer.... More
