This is a popular dog friendly riverside pub. The car park is small but parking available a few yards before on the right. I have had the roast dinner a few times and also the Thai. Sundays have a different menu (no Thai) The Thai on a prior visit was very good whilst the roast good but could be a... More

Visited for Sunday lunch. Food took 40mins to arrive & when it did, only half of the chicken was there. (Not much long later, we overheard at the table next to us that there was no more chicken - we obviously had the last dregs. We weren't ever told this). Asked for more gravy but was given the tiniest pot... More

Food - don't have the ploughmans - watery ham, tired salad, synthetic dressing, brown tinged apple and not cheap. sausages OK apparently. Outside tables need a good clean and the high chairs were filthy. So disappointing when the setting has such great potential. There aren't many riverside eateries on the Thames. Didn't stay in the hotel so can't comment, found... More

Awful experience in the pub, rude staff, never been spoken to like that before. Food took over an hour to arrive, when we enquiried as to where it was, no apology, waiter was rude and not apologetic, need some training in customer service. Emailed a complaint and they haven't even bothered to respond, says a lot!

We're Aussies and we wanted a "traditional English pub lunch" and were recommended to go here. It was perfect! a 20 minutes stroll along the Thames tow path and we were enjoying low ceilings, aged beams, brass ornaments, local ales, steak & guiness pie and more. It was a great experience and we'll go back - one day!

I used The Weir when I had to stay overnight in the area for work. It's a fantastic location and perfect when the weather is good. You can sit outside on the river. The food is good honest pub grub fare, breakfast was good. The staff who were working were amazing! Very efficient and friendly. It's not really a HOTEL... More

Great, scenic spot for an outdoor summers day bit of pub grub or a refreshing pint by the river. Gets rammed on sunny days and you can queue out the door as they are seemingly understaffed. Food was fantastic though, great traditional pub food, all cooked to perfection. There were a few disgruntled customers there today though (Easter Monday) as... More
