We stayed here on our way north to Cherbourg. A warm greeting from Alison and Jack ,the friendly boxer.Amazing building with a huge round dining table that could seat at least 16, unfortunately we were the only guests ,but had a delicious dinner very well prepared and served along with a super bottle of Bordeaux wine. Slept so well and... More

We stayed at La Tuilerie for three nights in the last week of September. We received a very warm from Alison and her two dogs, Fudge and Jack. After the initial hellos, etc her first question was what we wanted to drink, beer, wine, tea, coffee. We plumped for tea with home made biscuits and had a long chat with... More

We stayed here for a stopover on route to the South West of France – after a couple of hectic days in Paris this place was perfect – quiet and very relaxing. The building itself is great and Alison was lovely and made us feel very welcome. It was my daughter’s birthday and Alison decorated our room in advance of... More

My sons and I were biking the Garonne Canal and arrived hot and exhausted. Alison immediately handed us an ice cold beer, put our food in the fridge and told us to jump in the pool. What a reception! We stayed in the pool from 4 til dinner at 8 and had our picnic dinner by the pool. Sadly for... More

We stayed at La Tuilerie in June 2015 while en route to Northern Spain and again on our return, with our labrador, Morse. From the first minute to the last, our stay was great on both occasions - from Alison's genuine welcome to us and to Morse (every bit as enthusiastic). The property is full of character, Alison makes a... More

The place has that "wow" factor and it is a gorgeous residence and grounds. The rooms were lovely, Alison (owner) is friendly, helpful, speaks fluent English and the building/decor are impressive. We would happily go back there with friends or as a romantic couple, it is great for both. This is a place that genuinely deserves a tripadvisor 5 star... More

Searching for a pit stops en route to Spain I found a perfect spot. The old barn is now a charming residence in a lush and tranquil setting. The co-ordinates from the web site meant it was an easy find. Fudge is delighted to welcome doggie guests and bring them for a run around the garden. Finding accommodation that has... More

This was my second visit to this beautiful 'home' (for it felt like home) for a five day writing retreat. You know how sometimes you think you shouldn't go back to somewhere that was so good the first time, it just couldn't be bettered? Well, miraculously, this trip was even better than last year. I put this down to the... More

I spent a week here on a writing retreat and loved the beautiful, peaceful, calm environment surrounding the very spacious yet cosy converted barn. It's a masterpiece of design with its roomy, private bedroom spaces upstairs, overlooking the central space with its big round wooden table at one end, lofty fireplace at the other, and sofas for writing, chatting, playing... Went here for a retreat with my writing group and it was fabulous. The rooms were excellent, the food home-cooked and amazing, the wine delicious. The hosts were wonderful - friendly, helpful. It was everything you could want from a week away. I can't recommend this enough!
