Husband and wife are both rude and shouldn't be in this business. Inn was clean and comfortable. No access to lake. Road in is a mess. Driveway steep gravel with wash outs so don't take expensive car or motorcycle. 72hr cancellation policy is ridiculous and dinner reservations expected even if you are the only guest. Thick with mosquitoes. Need lots... More

Stayed at the Tulloch Inn during the summer of 2014 and had a mixed experience that left me with much less than a positive impression. When it came to the Inn itself and the property, all of my impressions were very positive. The Inn's rooms were very nice and clean, and the property was well-maintained. The male host, Keith, was... I stayed here only one night as I was in the area for work. I will most definitely be back again with the family! The bedroom was immaculate, the food was delicious and the owners were wonderful. The cost to rent was very reasonable.

Yes, it is 0.54 mi of well-maintained gravel driveway from West Lake Ainslie Road to their large Southern Plantation style home, but that should help you relax and realize what you're escaping from and towards. The McPhees have obviously thought long and hard about how to do the B&B thing well. Betty's cooking is incredible, and Keith is a warm... More

What a haven of tranquillity. I feel we were privileged to stay in this Inn. Elizabeth and Keith make every effort to ensure their guests are well looked after. The rooms are immaculate with such comfortable beds a real essential after a long trip. Elizabeth makes every effort to ensure the meals are perfect and indeed they are. I must... More

I don't understand the critical reviews of this inn. Yes, it is out of the way, but that is a big part of its charm. If you want to be near town, stay in town. The location is special, with great views of Lake Ainslie from the front rooms. The building is admirable, and Keith and Elizabeth keep it well... More

We stayed at the Tulloch In during our little honeymoon in Cape Breton. We called a number of hotels/inns in the area the day of and after having some completly full or not quite what we were looking for we called the Tulloch Inn. We spoke with the female owner and she was not very warm it friendly which is... More

All of the rooms are very large and comfortable. Lots of hot water for the shower. If you are physically challenged, there is a room on the first level with two beds. The host and Hostess make you feel at home, The meals are great and to order, just ask ahead of time, and it will be served in a... More

We just returned from a night at the Tulloch. It is our second time here, and once again, we left totally refreshed and impressed. The property is serene, welcoming, and the perfect base to use to explore the area. The rooms are cozy, comfy, and spotless. Our room opened up to a veranda that overlooked the garden and a view... We stayed in the very big and luxurious McDonald room here which had the most amazing view out back that overlooked the lake. It was super clean place (being a fragrance-free house) and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was great - delicious omelettes and pancakes - all served on beautiful silverware! Owner Keith was a lovely and attentive host... More
