Yes, they are building a new hotel, but the old building is not really shabby yet. A little worn around the edges, and this has its charm for some of us ... The executive rooms are small, but more than decent. Excellent pre-stay communication, warm and efficient welcome, great location (10 min walk from departure hall), good breakfast in the... More

I had a two day layover in Amsterdam, but having lots of luggage I chose to stay by the airport as public transportation to Amsterdam is efficient and inexpensive. My first booking was with a hotel that had a swimming pool, which is a plus when you want to deal with jet lag. This hotel, the van der Valk, is... More

The building needs to rest in peace at last. The rates are "Hiltonish" but the building (ie rooms, lobby, bar) are not. Breakfast is decent. Location is its main asset: by the Schiphol airport and train station. Hilton is building a brand new hotel next door to this one. I may reconsider going back once it is open.

This Airport should be conveniently located and up to an international Hilton standard. Only the first was true of this airport hotel, the rooms were pretty dated and personnel was not initially helpful to provide connecting rooms (or even i the same floor) for our family. This changed for our second date when we were lucky to have new personnel... More

I stayed there for two nights on business. I had to change room for the second night as the hotel was full. The decor throughout is very tired and looks dated. The room size is on the small size, but they are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The Executive lounge is well catered and the gym is... More

typical hilton standard, nothing great, nothing bad..some rooms require renovation as the furniture and bathroom is old. but otherwise good to sleep in, clean. convenient location next to the airport. hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

I understand the Hilton are building a new hotel at the airport and yes its probably needed. This hotel is fine. the beds are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is more than acceptable. This is clearly a business hotel that needs modernisation, which is what the Hilton are doing by building a new hotel! I suppose people are never done... More

Stayed there 2 nights, in what I will now consider as the poorest Hilton in the world (at least from what I've seen :)). It cost a fortune, over 300€/night, and the place is horrible, noisy, and just not at the expected level. It was so poor, that, after having paid, I was harassed in the room until I just... More

Hilton are building what looks to be a very modern hotel. Meanwhile next day the old one stays open and slowly decays. Bathrooms don't work, carpets threadbare, everything basically not being replaced. Yet still.... its very expensive. Sometimes I am forced to stay here by my company. In December I asked why they were not looking after the place. The... More

The hotel can be accessed by a bridge past the Sheraton and down through a car park. It's a shabby brown block of a hotel. My room was triangular and had uninterrupted views of a building site- I particularly admired the skip. The waiter in the restaurant seemed bewildered by my lunch order, and at breakfast he hadn't heard of... More
