Try finding somewhere else for a family of 5 at $150 cdn per night in the Gulf Islands! The suites were basic but clean and the beach was only a 10 miute walk away...great place to relax with kids and dogs! more

Mayne Island is very nice, but the Blue Vista Resort was not worth the $160. CAN/night. Unbelieveably overpriced, dingy cabins situated too close together. Floors were filthy, doors didn't close OR LOCK properly, and the cabins were not very well furnished or appointed. more

It was fine, clean, so no problems there, but it was by no means secluded. All of the cabins are very close together and the beach access is across a residential street and is for kayaking only - no strolling along the beach or sunbathing or swimming. this summer was the second time that i've stayed at the blue vista resort - - last time was about 4 year ago. had a great stay both times. the cabins are clean, decent kitchen's and comfortable furniture. the outdoor central area has bbq's for guests use and tables to sit at if you want your dinner outdoors. doug and... more
