We ate three times at the restaurant in this Lodge. The manager Jeremy was fantastic - he made sure that we were well looked after. I had delicious chili for lunch, turkey dinner on the second evening and nachos the third day of our stay. We had enough food after each meal to get the rest to go. Food is... More

This is the second time that we have stayed at the cabins at Springwater lodge...wonderful views but sadly the new owners have continued to let the cabins deteriorate...windows are old and dirty, carpet is dirty, lacked basic cutting board and other kitchen items...old gas heater that I'm sure hasn't been serviced for a long time as we could either have... We had a tasty lunch at this historic bar/hotel where the view of the bay was magnificent. Jeff filled us in on the history of what is the longest running bar on the Pacific Coast while providing top notch friendly service. Be sure to ask about the home made soups --- The Manhattan clam chowder was awesome.

.... we visited Mayne Island as a day trip on our road bikes. The destination for lunch was Springwater Lodge. The lodge was built in 1892 and has loads of character and some ghost stories too, but it's the location and scenery that wows you. Located in Miner's Bay right on the ocean... it was so relaxing and you can... More

The accommodation is truly deplorable, inside doors punched through, windows filthy, carpet dirty, sink dirty, one facecloth for a two bedroom cabin, one spoon, burned linoleum, lamp shades punched in and stained, curtains missing hooks and hanging askew, just awful... we'd reserved (and paid in advance) by phone, hadn't seen the place before and felt truly duped; mgmt wasn't interested;... We went to the lodge for one night in November. The cabins are old and honestly beyond worn out. But it felt friendly, facing the sea, with very friendly staff and we had a great time. The restaurant was suprisingly good.

Checked into cabin #2 at the Springwater Lodge mid September 2013. We expected rustic but were not prepared for the dirt. Linens were clean but that was about it. Rugs, shower stall and furniture looked like they hadn't been touched in months if at all. Tried to speak to the owner about it but he refused to speak to us.The... More

At 90$/night for a waterfront cabin - one can't expect luxury. If you want luxury go somewhere else! However, if sitting on your private deck watching ferries float by silhouetted by the setting sun while listening to their wake waves lapping on the beach as you fall asleep appeals ... I'd say go for it. The cabin is basic although... More

Yesterday we watched from the deck at Springwater as the sun set into Active Pass on a warm summer evening. A perfect setting for a casual dinner, but alas the fish and chips have gone way down in quality from past visits. The cuts of cod were crude and a little short of flavour, but what really spoiled the meal... More

We stayed in one of the cabins on the beach. It's a good setting with a great view but the cabin needed some attention. The cold water in the kitchen didn't work (so we used the tap in the bathroom) and the lock on the front door broke. Talking to one of the staff they said that because they are... More
