Our family hosted our daughter's wedding at Poets Cove in late June. It was a wonderful weekend and Poets is a great location for large gatherings of this sort. We were pleased with the food and with the setting, but the organization and service was quite disappointing. The resort is extremely short staffed and it is very difficult to get... More

We chose to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with a quick seaplane trip up to Poet’s Cove on Pender Island. The room was lovely and quiet. The view is utterly amazing. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. We did not use the pool or spa so I can’t comment on those. It’s the service and food I want to... More

We spent a week at a villa through the Registry Collection. The resort is beautifully located and the main building is beautifully designed. Our villa was very comfortable, with three large view balconies, the one from the living room having a functioning barbecue and dining set up. The kitchen was very small and not connected with the great room. In... More

We have had many excellent experiences at Poet's Cove in the past. Our recent trip was not a total disaster, but clearly this resort's new ownership/management is not living up to its previous reputation. We rented a 2-br villa for a part of our group, and one couple stayed on our boat at the marina. No dock hand attended to... More

We were graced with clear blue skies & calm waters during our stay in early September. This is definitely a peaceful time to visit- after Labor Day weekend. Our view from the patio off our room in the main lodge was outstanding, looking over the harbor & out to the cove. We found the room to be cozy & comfortable,... More

We had chartered a sailboat out of Bellingham for a week and Poet’s Cove on Pendar Island was our second stop. We sailed into the cove on a beautiful evening, and the resort was like a fantasy retreat in a Pacific Northwest paradise. I don’t understand the reviews that say the moorings or slips were tight – we had a... More

Nice place, nice location but they have let it go down hill. Rooms are dated. The only place to eat is at the pub. We went there twice. The food is not good and the staff are even worse. The floor of the bar was so sticky that are sandals stuck to it as we walked through. The staff we... More

Our son and daughter-in-law married here in July 2014 and our family stayed in a 3 bed cottage overlooking the marina. Accomodation was excellent with a fully equipped kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend this resort. We travelled by BC ferry, but you can also take a plane to the island.

This place is a money pit unless you go with a group and make the most of the multi-bedroom "cabins" with kitchen facilities. We went for a weekend looking for some R&R, but since there were only two of us, the regular rooms seemed to make the most sense. There are no kitchen facilities and not much else in terms... More

This is a beautiful location and the grounds and resort are done very well. We were moored on our boat and with that have access to pool, restaurants and showers ($1 for 4 min). Moorage ok, request outside slip. Pretty tight between boats, they cram u in for sure. Was such a pretty place though we are considering coming back... More
