We were referred to Poets Cove by the concierge at our hotel in Victoria. He discovered it and was pleasantly surprised, and has returned many times. It is one of the most pleasant, beautiful places we have been. What a treat! Wonderful staff, and anything your heart desires, perfectly taken care of. Don't miss it! more

My family and friends had a great time with attentive and professional staff caring for our every need. Great lodging and facilities, scrumptious food, perfect location with impressive views and grounds. Creative and detailed event planner. Top notch Chef and servers from around the world. We will be back again. A true West Coast destination. Not to be missed! more

My fiance and I visited Poet's Cove twice in the last six months. Both times we had to wait for service in the pub because the staff were talking amongst themselves and couldn't be bothered to attend to us. The second time we left after twenty minutes of being ignored. The prices on the menu are also extremely high, for... more

I stayed for one night and found everything about the hotel superb. The lodge room had spectacular views with a large balcony, comfortable bed and lots of space. All of the common areas are well designed and spacious. The pool was great, again, with superb views. The best part of the experience, however was the staff; each one we encountered... more

We've stayed at Poets Cove a number of times in the last few years and have recently noticed some major changes. Although it's always been a good place to get away from it all, we've seen a major difference in quality of food and service. If you haven't been, try it! The international staff is the best! more

We went to Poets Cove at the end of May long weekend for a quiet little getaway. We arrived at the Lodge around 2:30pm but our room wasn't ready yet and wouldn't be until 4pm. The front desk attendent was kind enough to code us a key for the pool area and we went wandering about the resort and the... more

This was our first stay at this resort.Read very mixed reviews on this site prior to coming. Weather was fantastic.Loved watching the boat action at the marina. We stayed in the lodge. The rooms are nicely done with very large deck overlooking the bay and marina, also the direction of the sunset. The rooms are a bit tight which was more than compensated by... more

Poets Cove is an amazing setting. The harbour is the most beautiful, the rooms all have A-1 views with spacious balconies, the beds are comfy, the gounds are spotless and garden perfect but the service sucks really, really bad! Take a snack and games with you to the bar and restaurant as you will find the wait for service beyond... more

Our family and about 50 guests just had my daughters wedding at the resort. Couldn't have gone better. The wedding coordinator was always there to help. The food was way above normal hotel standards. The chef came out to work with a couple of quests with allergies to prepare special dishes for them. Staff and service were excellent. They even... more

.. and that was just one of the reasons for the poor rating on this hotel. My spouse and I decided to stay here as we are not 'bed n breakfast' people and were looking to enjoy a more private yet beautiful accommodation. Poet's Cove is really pretty - the setting and amenities are nice. To the positive, they let... more
