Looked nice when passing. Heard that renos had brought the property up. Room was overpriced for what it offered. Paid extra $10 for damp firewood. Fireplace long overdue for cleaning. ...smoke backed up easily and was permeated into all furniture and fabrics. Kitchen not cleaned..Smelled and found old food. Bathroom amenities sparse. Room freezing cold when we arrived. Took long... More

I stayed in the cabin a couple of nights while visiting Victoria. It was only a short trip into Victoria (aprx 15 minutes to Douglas st) hitting the traffic right, and the cabin served as a nice forest grove getaway for the evening. I wasn't feeling that great and the cabin was nice to return to: comfortable, especially the soft... More

My husband and I took my dad on one of our little getaways and I was trying to find somewhere different to stay as we like to surprise him. Our options are limited as dad is elderly and tires easily, so we try to stay close to his home. While googling I saw the Malahat Bungalows and decided to view... More

My husband, myself, our three older kids and large dog stayed in a two bed bungalow for a week and had a great family holiday. The bungalow was spacious and clean and we found the beds to be comfortable (less so the sofa bed). The bunglows are spaced well apart giving each one it's own outdoor area, plus there was... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night as we were passing through. The location is a lovely place, a little clearing in the woods with a lovely feel to the place. They booked us in last minute which was very nice of them. The couple are very nice and generous people, we were hungry and was trying to... More

My family and I recently took a trip to Vancouver Island and we are very happy we found this place. We stayed in an independent bungalow with two rooms, which felt like home with plenty of space. I found the place to be very tranquil and relaxing. Upon arrival, the bungalow was already heated up and there were firewoods for... More

Love Love Love this place. Rustic cabin with old pine walls. Stone fireplace that works. The nice owner came and built a fire for us. There is nothing like a fireplace on a cold, rainy night in Canada. The fireplace is not the only source of heat. The owners were so thoughtful they turned the heat on before we got... More

It just feels like home. It is nothing like a high rise fancy 5 star hotel, but I felt so grounded staying there. Very peaceful and clean nice cabin like...especially with a fireplace. I highly recommend every viewer to check the place up. A family owned business treats you like family. They are very nice people who are willing to... More

I dont think I have ever stayed in such a disgusting place, ever!! Too start off, my friends and I were staying there and booked 3 rooms. They never bothered to have them close together. When my one friend and I checked in to our rooms, my room smelled of mold and my friends room, when she pulled down the... More

Hello, Thank you for your time and effort to write the review. I am sorry that you couldn't enjoy your time at our motel as other guests have. The rooms we have at our motel are not the typical side-by-side suites, but they are individual cabins in limited numbers; if we have other cabins occupied by other guests, we unfortunately... More

To be fair this property has had a great deal of work put into it, the cottages are good, but the highway is so noisy, ok for overnight stay, expected forest setting and quiet, not so good for long stay. Nice family run business.
