My husband and I stayed for four nights at the Prancing Horse. What a wonderful time we had. Our four poster bed was very comfortable and cozy and the view from our bedroom window was of mountains and water that went on forever. The property belonging to the Prancing Horse is extensive and down a lane, there is even a... More

Well, to be honest...I am not sure where to begin. It was my first time to stay in a bed & breakfast and I was truly astonished! It was my best experience as far as service is concerned! Al & Elaine were very hospitable, friendly, and personal! The room and view were breathtaking and very relaxing. The bed was also... More

We stayed at Prancing Horse Retreat in October of 2014. Initially we were just trying to find a nice place to stay while on Vancouver Island for 3 nites. We had no idea what an awesome resort we had booked until we arrived. The views were breathtaking, our room was one of the best we have ever stayed in and... More

Beware - Do not trust the Prancing Horse with your credit card info. Read through ALL the reviews. The property might sound nice but the owner certainly does not seem to be on the up and up. March 3 2015, I booked a reservation through Expedia for late May, two and a half months in advance. Full payment was to... More

Sorry to see your review I have seen your refund processed thru my account by my credit card merchant and unfortunately you were in the midst of when we switched merchants. We always take a one night deposit upon booking. Sorry you missed out on coming to stay with us. We do our best to ensure our guests have a... More

We came to Seattle on business and took a few extra days to wander around. We found the Prancing Horse Retreat by chance on a travel site and headed that way (by car and ferry). We got there with the intent of staying one night and heading along. Well, fortunately, they had a spot for us one more night. Al... More

A couple of months ago I booked a stay for this April for 2 nights. I gave a c/c number at the time I made my reservation. I was charged for 1 night at the time, which was fully refundable if I cancelled. My upcoming (now cancelled) stay is still a few weeks away. My c/c was charged a second... More

We switched merchant services and the transactions processed on our old terminal could not be credited on the new machine. It was very unfortunate and I was not aware of this when switching or I would have held both machines for a period of time. Sorry for the inconvenience. We. do our best to ensure people have a amazing stay.... More

Only half hour from Victoria, with lovely rooms and fantastic views. A quiet retreat away from the frantic pace of the city and well worth the experience. This one should be on your list - it's certainly on ours to go back.

My husband and I wanted a weekend getaway close to Victoria that was more than a continental breakfast and that had view worth the price tag. This was all that and more! Prancing Horse Retreat is a little less than 30 minutes north of Victoria and it was easy to find our way and get around because the highways are... More

We stayed at this lovely Retreat with it's beautiful views and comfortable rooms for the end of our holiday season. We could not have had a warmer welcome than that of which Elaine and Al gave us!!! The breakfast was fabulous and ample. Having a farm near by was fun. Our room was lovely and getting service in our room... More
