We visited at the beginning of the off season. Had a 2 bedroom cottage with a large window looking out at the ocean (across a street, but the cottage is set up high). The cottage was clean, had everything need to cook breakfast in the morning (you provide you own food). My mother & I stayed here 1 night before... More

Clever photography makes it seem like the cabins are a lot closer to the water than they are. The cabin we stayed in would be better described as “dated” or “shoddy”, rather than the advertised “rustic”. It was clean, but the smell of cleaning product was over-powering. In actuality, the canteen advertised as offering “fresh baked goods” had a few... More

When I first laid eyes on the place I was like Wow! What an unbearable, repulsive, depressive replica of a WW2 prison camp. This place is so bad the wild animals don't even want to stay in this dump.Talk about overpriced! I hated this place, we spent all night laughing about the absurdity of this beach port-a-potty as I'm sure... More

What a dump! There was a musty smell upon entrance in the cottage, the door to the "master" bdrm was punched in, there was a questionable stain on the linoleum flooring in the entrance, the television was TINY and didn't even work for us, it wasn't very clean, etc, etc... We were charged $175 (taxes in) for one night for... More

Yes, it's true. This place is very rustic. Somewhat clean, but very 70's. Short walk to the beach, just gotta walk the field and cross the road and down the hill. Great view of the ocean. The good.... the bed sheets were clean, great view of the ocean, quiet road, the heat worked. The bad.... Cupboard door fell off, the... More

My large extended family has stayed in these cabins twice now for family reunions and it really does the job! The area and the view is beautiful and the sunset is breathtaking. The beach across the street is nice and the location is great for exploring the surrounding area. The cabins themselves are quite dated and really need a makeover.... More

I have been spending summer weekends at the Whale Cove Summer Village since the late 80's (I started going there when I was 4 years old.) I am now a grown adult and still love to visit the quaint accommodations. I love the beauty of the view, the relaxing and casual atmosphere and the always friendly staff. I love the... More

These cabins are on the rustic side (have power and water) and could use some updating of fixtures and furniture, but they are very clean and comfortable. Every cabin is situated on a grassy hill with a lovely view of the grasslands and the ocean. The beach is pleasant, but would be safer if a road didn't have to be... More

We love Whale Cove summer village, mostly for the awesome little beach right across the street that is pretty much private. It's a great swim and we ran down to it every day, sometimes more than once. Great for kids too.The units have everything you need, nice to be able to cook and save a few bucks. As others have... Don't succumb to first impressions. This place is completely charming. The office and housekeeping staff were fantastic. So friendly, fun and helpful. When I expressed some chagrin that there was no oven in my cottage I was invited to bake my brownies in the oven in the back room! Yes it is a bit run down but that's part of... More
