My husband and I were in the area this weekend viewing the Claremont spa with our real estate agent. The Claremont was fully booked but after hearing that this hotel was the claremonts "sister" hotel we thought it would be interesting to stay in their beautiful vineyard cottage sweet and see what it was like. We checked in around dinner... More

We almost lost my father at New Years. After 6 weeks in hospital and a month recuperating at home, his 85th birthday loomed ahead. His significant mobility issues and slowly restoring health led to us suggesting we go to town to make his favourite meal. Much to our surprise he said he'd like to go out for dinner with just... My fiancé and I stayed at the Waring House over New Years Eve. They were hosting a special function where you could select a prix fixe three-course dinner, there was live entertainment, and breakfast was included the next morning. We really enjoyed ourselves. The food at both dinner and breakfast was terrific. After spending Christmas with family, it was nice... More

Booked the Vineyard View cottage (highly recommend the extra cost - reasonable given the privacy) for a special birthday celebration. Staff very friendly and accommodating - lights, fireplace, and hot tub on when we got to the cottage. A super getaway - and during the off-season, on non-weekends, the rates are more than reasonable! Breakfast at Amelia's was included and... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying in their Vineyard View Cottage. This room was like a small piece of heaven on earth. The room is beautifully appointed with a wonderful king size bed. The cottage is a stand alone, self contained building that is wonderfully outfitted. It is an all natural cobblestone building that has been refitted to provide... More

If you're looking for a wonderful winter weekend getaway, this is the place! Comfy accommodations (book a superior room with outdoor hot tub); the food in Amelia's Garden is exceptionally good---try the French toast or blueberry pancakes at breakfast. Have a pint of local beer in its super friendly inviting pub on Saturday night. And, take a class in The... More

It's hard to know where to start. . . . flawless stay from start to finish. Staff were so friendly, warm and efficient. I enjoyed the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in while away during this visit to the Waring House. The bed alone will bring me back! We were in room 111 in the Heritage Lodge. We... More

Thank you for your recommendation. We're always pleased to hear that our customers have enjoyed themselves. Did you know that we actually sell the feather beds we use at The Waring House in our gift shop. They're Canadian made, and we've discounted them quite aggressively off the manufacturer's suggested retail price. While we don't want to take away your reason... More

We booked two rooms in the House Next Door building for a family of four during the Countylicious in November. On their Website they show most of the pics. of rooms in this building and a few for the Quaker & Heritage Lodge, and since we booked online decided to book both rooms at the House Next Door. When we... More

We're very sorry to hear that your stay with us didn't meet your expectations. The House Next Door is an old building (dating back to the 18th century), so you can imagine that it takes a constant effort to keep it smelling fresh and clean. In cases where this isn't the case, we've equipped the rooms with air purifiers that... More

We stayed in the large suites in the Lodges which are large and quite comfortable. We were part of a specail Countylichious were the room included 2 breakfasts and one dinner. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your room at The Waring House, but of course, we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your dining experience with us. We do try very hard to provide guests with a great food, but admittedly, it's impossible to find something for everyone. We're very sorry that you didn't find something that excited... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waring house. Even though we visited the area off season, we had a great time touring around and the restaurant and pub at the Waring House were great and very lively. Food was excellent (particularly the French Toast...might have been the best breakfast I ever had, no joke!).
