We stayed at this place for the first time on our trip up to the Yukon. When we arrived, we checked in at the North Beaver Gift Shop, and were greeted by the friendly owner Linda Goodwin. She seemed cheerful and ready to assist you when you had a question or comment, or concern that you needed answered. When we... More

did not find the owners helpful - could not get the tv to work - 1/2 hour later the owner came and by then we had gone to bed. do not understand how they advertise as a 4 star - bathroom tub drain was very slow. Very expensive for what we had - do not understand the "water tax" that... More

We stayed here in a Jacuzzi cabin when moving from Alaska to Virginia. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom does not have a shower though, only a Jacuzzi tub. That made washing hair in the morning extremely difficult, since we are very much shower people. The tub was great for soaking the night we arrived,... More

We made reservations months in advance for $160.00 U.S. Upon arrival the very nice employee checking us in advised us the the owner Linda, stated our price should be $200.00 per night. I had email confirmation of our quoted price and Linda would not even come down to speak with us but only spoke with her employee on the phone.... More

When you book a room at Nugget City please remember to state how many beds you would like. The front cabins are less expensive but have only 1 bed. So when you book for 2 people who do not sleep in the same bed you need to say that. The room with 2 beds is a jacuzzi-jetted tub suite and... More

We originally stayed in 2008 for one night on our way back from Whitehorse. Although pricey we didn't want the invonvenience of traveling to Watson Lake as we were taking the Cassiar Highway. The accomodation was clean and nicely situated. The main gripe of this stay was in the restaurant witnessing the chef drop raw chicken on the floor, picking... More

This was the second full day of driving on our way from Fairbanks, Alaska to the lower 48. We planned on staying in Watson Lake, however, so did the rest of the population. There was not a single room available in town, and luckily we found Nugget City in the phone book and they had one more cabin left that... More

We had spent the night before at the Westmark in Whitehorse and were looking forward to a quiet night in a cozy cabin. We got exactly what I expected. The bathroom was huge and the shower was strong, nice toiletries were provided and the room was clean. There was also a refrigerator in the room and a TV with cable.... More

friendly, but ...... they charged for fries or mashed potatoas (lousy) 3 $ in addition to a burger. That was the most expensive (in total 16 $) one on a RV trip from Seattle to Alaska and back.

PROS: Great ad. Good stopping point between Fort Nelson and Whitehorse. Hot water. Comfy beds. CONS: Cabins were cute on the outside, hotel-ish on the inside. (Not ecclectic and rustic like I had thought would be) $200/night, way too much. The food at the restaurant was good, but expensive. We had 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals for $70.... More
