I spent one night here relocating down from Alaska to the lower 48...was a peaceful night of sleep, could hear and smell the wildlife all around...the tent site was level....no fire ring- however, understandable as this is a wildfire prone area of the north...breathtaking stars and aurora to be seen at night...the restaurant had yummy spaghetti and meatballs....the restrooms were... Tired, cold, and uncertain of what lay ahead I stumbled upon a small service center in the Yukon about 20 miles north of Watson Lake. Pulling my motorcycle into the parking lot at 10 pm hopeful that food and warmth could be found inside. I entered the quaint log building to find heaven on a plate. A professionally trained chef... We had a major engine failure last month and Scotty was extremely helpful in allowing us to use his phone since our service was not available. Along with that he provided us a couple of nites free of charge until our wrecker service arrived from Whitehorse. He also had a mechanic on site that tried to get us on the... More

Found this place to be the most expensive on the trip and not worth the money. Food is very expensive and at best only mediocre. The "help" was rude and definitely not helpful. Won't be stopping there again for anything and will not be recommending the place to anyone I know planning to travel up in that area.

My husband and I stayed July 6 2014. When I called they said price of room around $149.00 a night for a cabin. When we arrived it was $159.00 a night. Also they charged $6.16 for water you use in bathroom. Also $8.01 for gst. I don't even know what that was for. As for as the cabin it was... More

Traveling down the Alcan in August 2013 we were surprised to see this obvious newer accommodations. While the price was on the high end, we felt the cabin we had was worth the money, especially compared to what was charged at other venues. The food was well prepared and reasonable but our hosts were outstanding. We wish them much success.... More

Great crew at the Nugget! We stayed two nights and enjoyed several meals while there. We used the Nugget as a base camp for a motorcycle trip on the Campbell and Dempster Roads. We left our SUV and trailer there. Meals were GREAT! Will stay there again.

I guess after staying at some great campgrounds on our RV trip up to anchorage, my expectations were high. This place was a gravel yard. I called ahead to make sure there was internet and got told they did have it. They only had a hot spot by the office, 1/4 mile walk from our RV site. Then I got... More

When it's after 9 p.m., it's snowing, we've been driving all day, the lodge up the road is full (such a bummer, too - the price at the Rancheria Lodge is much more reasonable, the host is friendly, and they are pet-friendly), and we are traveling with a pet...you take what you can get. The cabins are cute and clean.... More
