I've gone to the Canadian Princess resort 14 times. I began in 1982 and ended in 1997. During those years I always stayed in the condos on shore. Sometimes I booked so many friends I got a free trip. I've never been disappointed and found the fishing exceeds anything I found in Alaska for variety and ease of transport. I... More

This place is dirty and not appealing. I made a mistake by staying here. Everything from the dining experience to the washrooms. Further, my uncle reserved two rooms at this lodge and then cancelled his reservation two days prior to his stay because of severe thunderstorm warnings and provincial weather alerts against the area. However, this place will not provide... More

Can't believed that we stayed and ate. The restaurant is on an old ship. Yes it does move, so if motion bothers you this may not be for you. Heard that they had great soup, so we decided to try it despite the dirty condition. Yea, what were we thinking? We were seated downstairs at a small table. Very friendly... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your recent visit, I apologize that we did not live up to your expectations. Both of our dining establishments, which closed for the season on September 30th, are located aboard the permanently moored vessel the Canadian Princess. Although aged from her years at sea as the hydrographic survey ship,... More

Visited for a long weekend and enjoyed a large, clean and comfortable room with great views of the harbor. The restaurant is located on a historic ship that is moored in the harbor which adds to the rustic ambiance. The food was great (try the Salmon Chowder) and service was excellent! We spent a day fishing in the rain…and coming... More

Our room facing the harbor was attractive - yet simple. A patio outside our door. Sun set over the harbor and mountains beautiful. We were there with a Road Scholar group trip and took advantage of visiting the Wild Pacific Trail and Pacific Rim National Park while there. The dining room aboard the Canadian Princess had delicious food and was... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Huge room with a loft room on top. Very comfortable beds, lighting a bit dim and no hairdryer in room. Nice deck outside to watch the fishing boats come and go. Lovely family of otters running and swimming around the jetty, very amusing to watch. Unusual restaurant on an old boat with a good menu... More

I spent two nights at the Canadian Princess Fishing Lodge Sept 2015. The accommodations are rustic but very suited for a West Coast fishing experience. Each room provides a stunning view of the harbour and a covered deck allows one to to sit outside and enjoy the tranquility. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. This was... If you are going to the west coast of Vancouver Island this is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and offer wonderful views of the Ucluelet harbour. We had a lovely deck to have our morning coffee on and take in the views. It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and... More

The harbour view rooms are roomy clean and comfortable with all the needs for a family fishing trip…..all details of the fishing trip can be organized on-site from fishing licenses to the packing of the fish to take home. Most of us were first time fishers….the Chinook crew of Bruce, Ken and Keith were patient angling teachers and made sure... More
