This place is like 30 min of Gravel and really bad road. When we arrive, we not feel welcome ( the owner was impolite). If it was not of the 30 min road we have turn around. DONT GO THERE.............camping site rocky, bad indication, smell toilet on the site, no drikable water

Sorry to hear your experience at Mussel Beach was not a good one. To respond to some of the issues you mentioned. We are a wilderness campground and unfortunately to get to us we are down a 8km logging road which we try to maintain. We post in on our website and brochure the fact that we do not have... More

This was our first time at Mussel Beach, and loved it! This has become a must go back every year to camp tradition spot. Beautiful spot right on a big beach, with tidal pools for the kids to play in and very nice for beach combing and hiking. We loved how family friendly it was and quite (no loud Drunks).... More

My Family and I loved it! This place has become a must go back, a new yearly traditional camping spot. Beautiful location right on the ocean, tidal pools for kids to play in and catch anything, big area for beach combing and hiking. We found it very clean, perfect for us because it was quite at night (no loud drunks).... More

My 2 children, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the family cabin at Mussel beach. It was quiet, serene, and the best rugged outdoor experience for the area. We would recommend it to those that don't want to stay in a cheezy LOUD resort, and we will return.

We arrived to the Ucluelet area as the sun was quickly going down and the fog bank was solid. We couldn't find an open for campsite or any affordable place to stay (under $200). We took a chance and followed signs for Mussel Beach. We arrived about 30 minutes later and a bit dusty to a sunny campground!! We were... More

Thanks to the breathtakingly beautiful ocean setting...just feet from most of the sites...we enjoyed wildlife galore, kayaking which is great for surfing or just cruising, swimming on the sandy beach, fishing for halibut, coho & sockeye salmon and sitting around a warm cozy campfire. Hosts Lori and Curtis made our visit most memorable with their friendly "helping hands". This is... More

We can't gush about Mussel beach enough - there are no airs, no graces just the beautiful outdoors. So please don't tell too many people! It's very rustic, remote and peaceful. We pitched on a great clean spot with a picnic table and woke up steps from the beach - a bald eagle a few metres away tucking into a... More

We had a good time, it is beautiful and the owners are great. But it is a quite a way down a one-way dirt pot-holed road. But yeah it is a wildness experience after all. We did go in May 2014 and the road was not good and the road along the grounds was particular muddy and bumpy...more than usual... More

we have stayed here twice in 5 years. Once we camped and this time we rented a sleeping cabin. You get a very laidback but supervised beach camp where you will see bears, seals, and a rocky beach front with lots of hiking. Yes there is sand too. Hidden down a logging road, it is a mellow place to camp.... More

Well, let me just say this. .all the reviews are spot on. So nice camping right on the beach. The showers are hot and not coin operated. Which I really loved. It was like showering outside in a wooden spa. Amazing!!So very unique. Mussel beach, its where its at. An oasis hidden down a gravel road to soothe your soul and... More
