We spent a week in the larger Cypress cabin, and by the end of the week we wanted to move in for good!! We had our 5 year old with us and he just loved staying up in the loft and seeing the great view every morning. It was a two minute walk to the bay and a world of... More

No soap, dirty towels, fridge not cleaned out, filthy BBQ, in a general state of disrepair outside. There is clearly NOT a "NO SMOKING" policy and the interior of the cabin reeked of stale smoke. We are fishermen and we have stayed in some pretty rustic cottages however I would not recommend Fortune Cove for the above reasons.

We stayed in the Cypress Cabin. A real jewel. The cabin was clean, comfortable and very spacious. It was very quiet. You had a very beautiful view out into the forest. Big windows. The loft was great. The hosts were very friendly.

We stayed two nights at Fortune Cove in early April. One night in Cypress Cabin -- the one with the upstairs bedroom lookout, and the second night in Fir Cabin. Cypress Cabin was worth the extra $$ per night. The upstairs bedroom lookout is fantastic. It's also newer and cleaner than the other cabin. This is really important if you... More

We stayed with our 10 year old in the Fir cabin. Abby and Mark have built their own home and 2 beautiful cabins they rent on their cove. We saw deer and enjoyed the stillness from the more crowded areas. The cabin's kitchen is fully furnished with hot chocolate, coffee, pots, pans, an excellent gas grill, and all the implements... Cute cabin...reasonably clean. The good - lots of windows, pretty clean, usable kitchenette, quiet. The bad - four skylights let in too much light first thing in the morning (and there's no way to block them from the bedroom) - NO windowcoverings!!! - no place to hang up clothes - no tv - no phone - no internet - spare... Stayed in the Fir cabin (the small one) and it was more than enough space for two people and two dogs. The cabins are beautiful, and the location is PERFECT! It's so nice to come 'home' to your own little space with a nice warm fireplace! Behind the cabins is a little beach where you can literally dig up clams!... More

We stayed in the Cypress cabin and it felt more like a home than just a place to stay. The post and beam cabin was warm and cozy and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need, way more than a few pots and pans and dishes for four. The wood stove warmed the room during the rainy evening and... More

Yellow cedar cabins with log burning stoves, surrounded by forest and wildlife, spitting distance to cove and walking distance to Ucluelet, perfect!! We stayed in both the cypress and the fir cabins in the week we stayed on Vancouver Island. We originally only planned to stay for 2 nights as we wanted to travel around the island a bit but...
