After travelling from Port Hardy we needed to be looked after and Black Rock did that. Amazing spot by the Pacific, beautifully set into the scenery. The bar was well served with tasty eats n drinks. We tried the restaurant and we found it with mixed thoughts. Service a bit amateurish, and the food although good wasn't well presented.

This place ticked every box. The location is amazing - right on the beach with the rainforest around and close to the Wild Pacific Trail. The hotel itself is very stylish, the rooms are superb with great ocean views. Plenty of room, very comfortable bed, luxurious feel. Both bar and restaurant served excellent food, and all staff were very friendly.... More

A great place for families. Stay in the suites away from the main resort. They are perfectly set up with everything you need in the kitchen and the beds are comfortable. Super clean rooms and every room in our suite had an amazing view. We slept with our patio door open to hear the waves crash over the rocks. Just... More

The resort is in a breathtaking location overlooking the rocky wild Pacific Coast. There are lovely views from the rooms, bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we ate lunch out on the terrace overlooking the ocean, it was sunny, the food was great, everything was lovely. Back in our room I pulled back... More

If you want to feel away from everything then this is the place for you.it really is the end of the line. Rooms were mini apartments - baths dep and luxurious . Views amazing. Hotel is quite small with a restaurant and bar where food is served. Lots of ocean everywhere . Not a lot to do and see in... More

We stayed at this hotel for four nights as a part of our tour of Vancouver island. We were allocated a beatiful suite overlooking the bay, room 301.The suite was extremely well appointed . We chose not to, but self catering would have been possible. The sitting area is very comfy with supurb views with access to a large balcony.... More

We keep coming back to Black Rock because it truly is the most stunning place we have ever stayed. We have stayed in both the lodge and the trail cabins and the rooms are gorgeous, with spectacular views and first-class amenities. The staff are always very welcoming and this is one of the most pet-friendly places we have stayed. The... More

This resort ranked very high on Trip Advisor site. We went to see. The grounds and the views to the ocean are beautiful. The hot tub overlooking that view was inviting. We had planned on hiking the Wild Pacific Trail. We did not stay as they do not have blackout curtains. Gray or black roller blinds do not block out... More

The Black Rock Resort has everything you need and more. From comfy beds, excellent food in the Lounge and the restaurant. Great service from the front desk to the restaurants. We had a room in the main lodge on the 3rd floor with majestic views, breathtaking. The sound of the crashing waves lulls one to sleep. ( we found the... More
