Can't believe that they call this a hotel. The front door locks at 11 and there is nobody running this zoo until the next morning. The heat in the room is controled by a heat switch 4 doors down, if they bother to turn it on at all. I've been here for 4 nights now and the chambermade hasn't been... More

Stayed overnight here on way home to Ontario. Very interesting stay. The permafrost is coming out of the ground, so the building is settling and sinking at different rates. Expensive but par for the area. Same for the restaurant. Smoking rooms available. Ok for a night stay, wouldn't want to stay any longer.

I have been staying in the Navigator Inn for just under 30 years. Sometimes, when we just popped in it was necessary to stay in another hotel close by. It is very close to the airport so we prepared the plane for the overnight and walked to the hotel unless it was -40C and windy! It is certainly not a... More

Stayed here a couple of times before but always just overnight. It IS very close to the airport (300 metres ?) and in winter that can be a major plus (think -30C) and winter is very long up there. My last visit had me arriving, without a booking (not recommended), after 2230 hrs. Place locked up. Knocking and gesticulating through... More

I stayed twice at the Navigator, two weeks apart, on my way through to Cambridge Bay and on my way back to Ottawa. I enjoyed my stay. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. Each time I had a large, clean room. I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. I didn't like paying for... More

Brace yourselves. This is a short novel about the Navigator Inn in Iqaluit. I stayed at the Navigator Inn on 2 occasions in November of 2007 and I would rate the quality of accomodations, food, staff and safety as poor. The sign outside the hotel proclaims that it is Iqaluit's Premier Hotel. The condition of the building, its rooms, and... More

The Navigator Inn will be my last choice for future travel through Iqaluit. I stayed there overnight in mid July, and was disappointed in the quality of my visit. The front desk tried to get me to agree to a smoking room, then aquiesced to a non smoking when I made a strong appeal for one. The room minimally provided... More
