The Discovery is located a short walk from the airport, but a free shuttle service is available as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the small side but clean and comfy. The beds are great and I've never experienced a problem with noise. Internet connection is slow, but then it's the North! The food at... More

Had the pleasure of staying at the Discovery recently. Very friendly folks at check in and the restaurant. Rooms are comfy and quiet...mine was newly renovated with cool bedside lighting. I found the two steps upto the bathroom a bit strange, and you have to be especially careful navigating if you are up in the night. The restaurant's breakfast is... More

Stayed at the Discovery when my flight back to Toronto was cancelled. The hotel is elegantly chic. Check in was quick and easy, staff was friendly and the room was a delight to stay in - comfortable, clean, modern and quiet. The hotel is a walk away from the airport, although the hotel does offer complimentary shuttles. I would love... More

The upgrades to these rooms are great. They are small, but cozy, nice beds. Get an inner courtyard room and it's quiet. Close to everything. Nice lounge area. It'd be nice to have a little fridge in your room though. and of course the restaurant at the "Disco" is 2nd to none for caribou and home made ice-cream if available!

It's new, it's decent, it's clean. The rooms are average in terms of quality and amenities. The bathroom in my room and a colleagues are tiny and cramped. There seems to be very few tv channels relative to other hotels in Iqaluit. The dining room is handy, better than hotel arctics restaurant and on par with the Frob. The lunch... More

Loved my room - modern, clean, quiet, comfortable. Food [quality, portions and presentation] and service in the restaurant are superb! Front desk staff have been very helpful, friendly. They even offer a shuttle to and from the airport. Yes, it's expensive but that's the North. Here you feel you're getting your money's worth relatively speaking.

This renovated hotel offers excellent large rooms. The staff try as hard as they can and front desk was exceptional. The only two issues with this hotel are: 1. Very very expensive. 2. The restaurant is expensive staff is rude and quality of food is average. They even charged me 3 dollars for a piece of bread. Still if you... More

A good modern hotel that would not be out of place in the South. Decent sized rooms, especially executive kIng rooms. Bathrooms with tubs and nice amenities - mouth wash etc. Close to the airport - five minute walk. Good restaurant, perhaps a little pricey. Oddities? Bathrooms are raised by two steps. Rooms in the back have little WiFi but... More

Nice, clean hotel with comfortable, modern rooms and free wifi. I stayed for about a week and some days the wifi was fast (almost 1 Mbps d/l) and other days I couldn't get pages to load. The rooms are very modern and well taken care of and the in-house restaurant is a pleasurable fine dining experience. However, the walls are... More

This hotel is definitely a pleassant surprise. The room styling and design quality belongs somewhere in Europe and the level of cleanliness and service is superior to other offerings in Iqaluit. Unfortunately, my room had limited amenities and lacked a fridge and microwave. Frankly, most people who can afford to stay here are unlikely to want to nuke Chef Boyardee... More
