I have stayed here several night over the last few years and you could only wish you could find rooms like this in the city. Absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spotless and the hotel has an incredible restaurant. It's a must stay when you travel to Iqaluit. It's close to the Airport, short walk but they have a shuttle when... More

Was my first time solo in a hotel. Felt very clean and safe! Bed was comfy and room was much nicer than i was expecting. I had breakfast at the hotel. Unfortunately they weren't serving hot breakfast when i was there but i did enjoy a nice croissant and some fruit!

This place was great. Just felt like a boutique hotel down south of 60 degrees. Shuttle from the airport was great especially for later flights. Even took me to the airport the following day to check in and drop off my bags, then brought me back to the hotel. Room was really well appointed and clean (not all northern hotels... More

True to their promise when I first made reservations months ago, I was able to cancel the stay on my outbound layover with no questions asked. Just need to tell them before the day I had reserved. I guess they are used to the flight delays and schedule changes in the north. While the hotel exterior is an unassuming brown... More

We stayed in the Discovery Hotel twice travelling back and forth from Baffin Island. Four of us were supposed to fly through Iqualuit to Baffin Island for a trekking trip, but arctic fog in Qiq and wind in Pangnirtung kept resulting in flight cancellations and rebooking for two days. The staff was helpful and friendly as we checked in and... More

Excellent hotel in arctic setting. Staff friendly and helpful. The kitchen is exceptional easily matching restos in the big city. Clean and reasonably priced. Would easily do again. Take the time to rent a vehicle and see all Iqualuit. Had a great trip

The Discovery is located a short walk from the airport, but a free shuttle service is available as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the small side but clean and comfy. The beds are great and I've never experienced a problem with noise. Internet connection is slow, but then it's the North! The food at... More

Had the pleasure of staying at the Discovery recently. Very friendly folks at check in and the restaurant. Rooms are comfy and quiet...mine was newly renovated with cool bedside lighting. I found the two steps upto the bathroom a bit strange, and you have to be especially careful navigating if you are up in the night. The restaurant's breakfast is... More

Stayed at the Discovery when my flight back to Toronto was cancelled. The hotel is elegantly chic. Check in was quick and easy, staff was friendly and the room was a delight to stay in - comfortable, clean, modern and quiet. The hotel is a walk away from the airport, although the hotel does offer complimentary shuttles. I would love... More

The upgrades to these rooms are great. They are small, but cozy, nice beds. Get an inner courtyard room and it's quiet. Close to everything. Nice lounge area. It'd be nice to have a little fridge in your room though. and of course the restaurant at the "Disco" is 2nd to none for caribou and home made ice-cream if available!
